Nothing more than a couple of Russian players, a rushing Canadian defenseman and a useless black goon.
That's basically it in a nutshell, nothing more and nothing less!
You see last year the Caps used their young Russian star (Ovechkin), you know the same one who's trying to show everyone that he's actually old enough to grow whiskers, to pull off a couple of NHL postseason upsets before bowing out to a much better team in the Philadelphia Flyers. The difference of course being that the Flyers didn't and don't put all their marbles in one bag to ride the victory train, as was the case in game seven when they sent the Captals packing right in their own barn.
Now listen up carefully because I actually marvel at the stupiduty of this particular move game in and game out!!!
Any NHL team in this modern day and age who carries a body, in the likes of Donald Brashear, for the simple purpose of fistcuffs is totally both ludicrous and hilarious. Watching this pathetic jerk trying to skate up and down the ice looking for an opponent to square off with has to be the most idiotic jesture ever displayed by an NHL team.
This turkey couldn't outskate a six-year-old for crying out loud.
Bruce Boudreau, who was as big a chicken as there was when he played junior hockey on Toronto, must love the fact that he can actually summon this goon Brashear when he wants to start a fight, something he never could do or was able to do himself when he played the game.
The bottom line is quite simply that the Washington Capitals are nothing more than a regular season team, a club that plays its' postseason hockey from October to the beginning of April.
They'll no doubt fold in round one or two of the playoffs as always, providing they even qualify.
Finally lets also keep in mind that the Capitals, complete with its's couple of Russians, its's rushing d-man, it's black goon whose only job is to occupy space on the team bench and finally its' coach who resembles a 'beached-walrus', sits in the weakest division of the entire NHL.
It is for that and only for that reason alone that we are forced to watch them for one round, maybe two, of the postseason each year.
You heard it and now you got it!!!
:nohead:
