Was yesterday the day the NFC turned the corner and is now equal or better than AFC

Couldnt have went much better yesterday for the NFC.

Coming off their big SB upset win by the Giants last year. Now we have Carolina beating San Diego and Chicago pounding Indianapolis. Throw in the dominating performance by the Cowboys over the Browns. The most impressive part of all this is the fact all 3 of these games were on the road.

It might still be early but this may be a trend to keep an eye on in the weeks ahead.

the worst of the worst, Detroit, Atlanta..(dont let that game against Detriot fool ya..Atlant freakin sucks) and the St louis stinkin rams..

those 3 right there may be picking 1,2,3 in the draft next year..

Tough to say this early. If the Bears repeat their performance of last evening, I'll be surprised. If Indy repeats theirs, I'll be even more surprised. The Browns stink, as they ususally do and their head coach is a dufus, so there's really no good conversation about that game - it went as expected. Carolina could be a surprise team this year, although DelHomme seems to find one way or another to let his team down as the season progresses; also, the Chargers did much to help facilitate the win for the Panthers.

Oh, and Hi RXers. I saw this forum posted at EOG and thought I'd check it out. %^_

The NFC is still no where close to the AFC. People thought the NL was better than the AL earlier in the year too, remember? That didn't last too long and neither will this. Indy, SD, and NE are still three of the top 4 teams in football, with Pittsburgh possibly #5. Dallas is the only team in the NFC I would say is a top 5 team, and they probably only have 3 in the top 10.

We shall see that is why they play the games but yesterday was very surpsring. I was telling a guy the other day that one of the big 3 of the AFC will not have a good year, I thought SD I said but NE looks a little in trouble. One thing most need to realize that the NFL chnages a lot in 1 years time, by far more than any of the major sports. I will have to look it up as I read this the other day but I think the most repeat playoff teams from the years pervious was 6 out of 12, it was rather surprising.

Whoever said the 3 best teams from the NFC, I am not sure what that meant. Those were 2 below average NFC teams that went on the road yesterday and beat the AFC bullies.

The AFC has just as bad of teams as the NFC. Like Miami, KC and Oakland, you could throw Cincy possibily in that mix. Detroit was way better than those teams last year as they played Oakland and KC and beat both of them. The Lions arent good at all but they are not as bad as that trio either. I am not saying NFC is beter yet, I never said that but the gap has been narrowed and yesterday confirmed it. In fact the NFC lead the seson series last year going into the meaningless week 17 between the 2 conferences so maybe we can start to put this too to argument to rest. Not sure what else the NFC could have did yesterday. The difference between conference's was AFC had 3 powerhouses in the past, maybe not anymore. This may have started late last year when NY Gaints beat the Pats when no one gave them a chance. Interesting to read this thread later in the year.

Not really sure who was worse yesterday, Detroit, Rams, or the Bengals. At least Seattle had injury problems.
