This game might have been rigged.

Call other books worlwide and see if betting patter was strange!!

If I were a book I would notify The Premiere League on unusual betting activity

Poor Bobby Robson, I think he'd commit suicide if this were the case...

ummm, NO!

Aside from really being keen on ManU, most likely taking +120 for 40 dimes, and laying even money on an exchange making a 8 dime arb.

Its obvious the reason he made the small bets as he was covering with scalps at an exchange.
As the bet came up he was covering at WSEX.

So what, who cares.

WSEX should just pay the man and move on.

Why should they cover his scalp? What if he had bet $1 million?

Here are the facts:

Player knew the limit was $500. He had run into the limit 3 times in the past.

Out of those 3 times, he was allowed to wager $1,000. $500 at the initial line and $500 at the new adjusted line.

What made the player believe he could bet 80 times the limit? Over the net no less without approval by a manager.

The software would not take a bet over $500.

The software would not take two bets for $500.

Player skirted his way around the software limits to place $40,000 worth of wagers.

This took the player 2 hours to do.

The player did not call in to get a confirmation on his plays.

JJ I never thought I would agree with you. What is this world coming to.

Seems pretty cut and dry. I don't know why so many people can't see it.

JJGOLD............the game didnt have to be fixed....

this guy exploited the following

1. software glitch
2. rules regarding wagering (or lack off)

all he had to do was make the bet.....the rest took care of itself.......although it was in a way a one-shot propistion..

if he lost.....Wsex would have graded it no-action....he doesnt lose a dime..

the team he bet won.....ok time to get started on the posts....so i can get paid........

using a public sports forum to help complete a scam........brilliant

dimeplayersonly, are you saying that this guy bet 40k hoping that the book will cancel it if lost?LOL come on,that doesnt make sense.
Anyway, the important thing is that according to another poster, wsex hadnt cancel some losing stakes over the 500$ limit.

vg789........your right, making a 40k bet on the assumption that if it loses...they will cancel yeah that is silly..

but thats not the case....he knew the book would call it no-action as soon as they discovered the phukup...so a loss would be essentially a push at worse...

he made a bet that he knew he couldnt lose.....

Youre 100% wrong Dimeplayersonly. Like I posted in another thread. This was posted on MW by a poster named Rocketman

Apologies if this was mentioned elsewhere in the threads, but I am short of time and havent read them all as yet. But have Wsex made it clear what would have been an acceptable number or total of wagers? I know it is not posted on their site anywhere.

These three bets were accepted no problem last week, so where is the line drawn? Should I expect a phone call if I place one more limit bet? Two more? Three more?

So THREE $500 wagers were placed on the same line and according to WSEX over their $500 limit. But in this case the bets lost and WSEX kept the money? So if their limit was really only $500 why werent these bets refunded then???

So dimeplayersonly I will ask you are you still so sure that WSEX would have refunded Reveres 40K bet and called it no action if it lost? If they didnt refund 2 $500 bets above that lost what makes you so sure they would have gave revere his money back???

nets..... i see your point, but 3 bets versus 80???

1500 vs 40k........big difference

i am not going to speculate on what Wsex may or may not have done as far as cancelling the bet anymore

its becoming very clear that i should have kept my thoughts on what Wsex would have done if the wager lost.....to myself..

initially it was a gut-reaction to accusations that a book would take a "wait and see" approach...i got offended that you and other posters thought thats how we did business.....
