Before I say anything, the guy is a great quarterback and deserves tons of praise and fat checks, etc.

However, I was wondering how good he would be if he weren't lucky enough to land with one of the best coaches/systems of all time with the Seahawks. For example, if you look at the coach of the Steelers, do you really believe he'd win more than 3 playoffs games in his life if he didn't luck into Ben Rothtittiesburger? I think that's pretty clear. Same thing with that blimp of a human being coach in Green Bay. If you put him on other teams, the guy would fade away into obscurity.

I don't think Wilson will win a Superbowl ever again.

He was a bad call away from winning back to back SuperBowls. He has a chance to get back there again. How much longer is Pete Carroll going to coach. He is the oldest coach in the league at 66 though he looks like he could coach another 10 years if he wants. Seattle will continue to have one of the strongest home field advantages in the league. Only LA has a QB who might turn into something in that division. Palmer is on his way out and SF needs to draft their QB of future. Problem for Seahawks is Wilson contract takes a bigger piece of the salary cap in years going forward.

He's still a great QB that makes unbelievable plays considering the pressure that he faces.

Let's be honest.

Having a great OL is a luxury. A great qb will still be great without a great ol.

A below average qb will look better with a great OL ( prescott and wilson)

Andrew Lucks line has always sucked and he damn near got the colts to the SB.

I've watched some of his braindead decisions lately... and they're a replay of what he did to lose the Superbowl against the Patriots. They should've won that game but he single-handedly lost it for them.

If you think that play was a one-off deal, you haven't been watching a lot of key Seattle games. He has done the exact same kind of thing on crucial plays that cost them games that they should've won. There will be more of the same in the future...

... just like Cutler is a Pick 6 king.

Anyways, his whole career will likely be with Carroll, so we'll never get see him on another team.

One of the most overrated QB's ever! Had the luxury of playing with one of the best defenses in history. Everyone remembers his overtime td pass vs GB in the NFC championship game, but if it wasn't for that great D they get blown out! He had like 4 turnovers in the first quarter or half! He only looked good when they had the league number one rushing offence! Next playoff season throws a pick 6 vs Panthers early to put the Hawks down 14, game out of reach (Rivera is no idiot like Quinn). The Jim McMahon of the 2010's!

It helped that he had an awesome preseason while the team's starting qb (Matt Flynn) was a lame duck. It helped that in a salary cap era, he was making peanuts so the team could spend other monies elsewhere. However now he is getting paid nicely (well deserved) and the team cannot spend $$ elsewhere so he is vulnerable.

Curious to see what happens to Dak when his contract is up. Will the cowboys have enough $$$ to pay that awesome offensive line as well?

Amazes me how people think Dak Prescott will be a good qb. You have got to be kidding.

Umm he goes by "Dak:.

I saw a mock re-draft of him going #2 overall if the draft were redone. Haha. Sure.

Watch him fail. Black quarterbacks to be successful have to have the perfect storm and in a salary cap era, the perfect storm does not last long.

I said the same thing about Russell Wilson years ago on this forum and now you are seeing it come to fruition.

Russell Wilson’s key to his NFL record-tying brilliance in fourth quarters is his mind

RENTON What makes Russell Wilson so brilliantly poised when the games get so tense?

Why this season, despite his Seahawks having no running game to support him and a leaky offensive line that’s had pass rushers in on him, does Wilson have 15 fourth-quarter touchdown passes? That’s tied for the most in NFL history in a regular season. And Seattle (8-4) has four more to play in this one.

What has made him the winningest quarterback over the first six seasons of a career in NFL history?

He says it’s not his throwing arm. Nor his scrambling legs.

Take him off the Hawks and Carroll, then you'll see how good he is.

Put Montana on the Chiefs and he'll take them to the brink of a Superbowl. That is the difference.

Great player but no more Superbowl wins. Let us not forget he handed a Superbowl to the Patriots. He didn't make the play call but he threw the pass at the 1-yard line. Might as well be a fumble at the one.

I don't understand this thread. I think Brady is the best ever but I could write something similar. Brady got lucky when Bledsoe got hurt. Had a good defense early on a good coach. He plays in the worst division every year allowing him a great chance at home field and an advantage at getting to the SuperBowl. You are basically saying negative things because he won't win two...three...four championships? Okay hes a very good or great QB who is not the best. I don't understand your point though. I'm guessing he has played like shit when you lost on a bet....yeah? We have all been there. If you were talking about Stafford....I would agree. He is overrated. Hell.....if you are talking about Dak.....I agree......he is Tim Tebow....basically...but can't agree here with Wilson

You guys putting Dak Prescott in the same sentence as Russell Wilson don't watch much football.

Football is a fickle game. Last year Dak was the son of God himself. And they threw away a legit Pro Bowl quarterback in Romo. Now look where that got them.

If you put Dak on the Seahawks, Carroll would mold him into a consistent winner like Wilson. What do you think Wilson would do on the Cowboys? You'd think oh, the Cowboys would be a yearly Superbowl contender...... WRONG! The Cowboys are a fractured operation from management on down to the coaching staff. They will be ho hum until Jerry Jones dies.

Unfortunately, we will never get to see what Wilson's true level is b/c he is buoyed by Carrol. Rest assured, however, that you will get this factor come into play when Rothlsbrgr leaves the Steelers and their coach will be left without the player that made him win. He could retire with Rothlsbrg and save his winning record... or he could keep on coaching and watch his teams start to lose big.

With Wilson we'll never get the chance to see that, but with the Steelers coach we will get a chance. It's the same thing with Tubby Smith and countless others.

Dak Prescott does not equal Russell Wilson. They aren't interchangeable players. Wilson is a superior QB compared to Prescott and it's not even a discussion worth having.
