Went on a skiing trip in Colorado this past weekend (Breckinridge, great weather and great time). I haven't been high in probably 20 years, visited a pot store and bought some cookies, mints, gummy bears, etc. It was cheaper than I expected. I hate smoking anything..

Weird experience at the store, feels like I'm doing something illegal even though I wasn't and had to wait inline for over 20 minutes just to get in. Cookies tasted like shit but gummy bears and mints were good. Good buzz but had a major headache the next day.

I was amazed at how much pot smell there was on the slopes. I don't think I'd like racing down a mountain high (or would I?).

Almost forgot I had sex that night while being high. Never done that before but it was about the most powerful and best nut I've probably ever had.

MSNBC did 6 part show called "Pot Barons of Colorado" and how the state has just been booming with new businesses and income since they made the change to legalization. Interesting to see the different approaches business owners have towards budtending (mom-n-pop, Costco, retail shops) and the different variations of edibles that have made their way into the scene. Soda, gummies, body lotions, breath sprays/strips, capsules, you name it. They even have body lotions and rub-in ointments, and everything under the sun these days. Not to mention the appearance of BHO (butane hash oil - MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE potent). They're also finding that many of the new customers (or those renewing interest) do not have the kind of tolerance that regular smokers do so many of them have begun to develop "less-potent" edibles to adapt to the market for those that just partake on occasion or do not prefer to smoke. Really interesting stuff.

I always had some kind bud skiing/boarding because we always drive to Colorado or NM. I always felt I couldn't get as high because of the altitude. Idk maybe just me.

The guy at the store gave us good advice. He said start with 10-20 milligrams and that's why I did (cause we haven't been high in forever). My buddy had 2 cookies that were 7 milligrams of pot each. I tried one and the taste of pot was so bad I couldn't finish it. So I had 2 gummy bears that were 10 milligrams each and those tasted like gummy bears. The guy said food takes about an hour for it to take and he was right. I didn't think they were working then it hit me. Went through phases of laughing my ass off at anything to feeling like I was floating to a little paranoid. But again, the headache the next day sucked. I had a mint later and think it was like 4 bucks for 1 that was 10 milligrams.

For example a 10 pack of these little chocolate cookies were $18.00 and that's with tax and think tax on pot is like 35%. Maybe I'm wrong on the tax part. The gummy bears were I think 15 bucks for 5 of them and those were 10 milligrams each. That had punch drinks, gum, mints, all kinds of stuff that I didn't even think was possible.

We flew there so I didn't bring anything back but I also didn't really want to anyway. Not a 1 time forever thing but have 4 kids, director position at work and didn't want to risk anything back home.

The store is right in downtown breckinridge, the one we went to anyway. It's attached to a kids clothing store you walk in/next to to get there which is weird. You wait inline then they let someone in and you basically have a host that tells you everything, then you pay and leave. Funny watching everyone leave while in line and people nodding at each other and smiling. Never seen so many people happy with their purchase.

Enfuego we went to the Breckinridge Brewery and it was pretty good. Had to wait about 40 minutes for a table but their beer was pretty good. I didn't drink too much cause I didn't want to be drunk and not be able to tell if I was buzzing or high.

Good buzz but had a major headache the next day.

Headache was likely from the altitude and if you were drinking, people from low elevations often take a day or two to adjust.

I have legal pot 15 minutes away in Washington but is a bit expensive due to all the taxes, suppose to be less taxed here in Oregon when it becomes legal July 1st.

Alcohol & weed mixed together use to give me a vicious headache, only mixed it like 3 or 4 times, never mixed it after that........you either enjoy the alcohol on its own or the weed.

So Oregon going legal too........WTF will it tale for the east coast to get legalized sports betting weed? Probably because most agencies are located on the east coast along with the president, etc......cant have all this stuff legalized, these hypocrites couldnt handle it!
