The West is a bear, and the Warriors had a number of games in last year's playoffs where they faltered or lost. Even with Cousins out, they will have some nice streaks, a couple big wins, and likely win the West- although Houston is the one team that could change that. Last night, as in many GS games, they get a big lead, and get sloppy, complacent, too loose, whatever, but you could see their intensity was not there 3rd quarter. That's why taking these big spreads for the game is not always wise with them.
Kerr said it in his 60 Minutes interview. Their ultimate is getting so far ahead that the bench plays the whole 4th quarter. He loves it, the starters and top bench guys love it. Last night they thought, "We got this" too early. As for the rest of the 60 Minutes interview, I didn't get a feeling of entitlement or big issues. Like any team of stars with big egos, they have conflicts. But Kerr is 80 % psychologist, and I think on the court they play very well as a team IF they feel they HAVE to play their best to win.
I'm not a Warriors fan at all, and like the Patriots, we're all sick of them winning so much- but when money is on the line, go with what gets it.
