Seeing how he almost got his ass kicked by Mike Sherman, I would say no.

Sapp is in..You guys underestimate him...He was the best player on one of the best defenses of all time those late 90s/early 00 Tampa 2 dungy D's...

Barber/Lynch were solid players, borderline pro bowlers some years but they aren't going...

Brooks? Not sure, but I'd bet no or maybe 6th-7th try...

Well, if you're going to keep people who are a-holes out of the HOF then Barry Bonds isn't ever getting in.

Seriously though, the man finished with 96 1/2 sacks playing tackle, a position where sacks are tough to come by. Being as dominant as he was obviously led to double teams against him which in turn freed up other players to get the QB. He will get in imo.

Warren Sapp , its almost like he had two careers ... The first 6 years he had 58.5 sacks , Dominated at his position and was perennial All-Pro.
His final 7 seasons , We saw his weight go up , His Sacks go down , and his dominance dwindle.

Warren better retire , because he's probably close to getting released ... 2 sacks last year ??? , 38 over the last 7 ?? ( 5.5 a year ) -- Thats not to Dominating imo. I wouldnt vote him in. He was attention getter and a loud mouth. Whatever technique he was using to get to the QB from DT was figured out ... Warren has been quiet since 2002 , I think he might partied too hard that year after the big win.....

Yes. And I don't believe there should be any debate, but because of his personality, there will be plenty.

The Bucs should consider themselves lucky that he fell to them in the 94 draft. It was the first year I got season tickets, and consider it a pleasure to have seen every down. He was so disruptive at his position that teams had to game plan against him. He redfined the under tackle position. Forget about the sacks he got from a position that was never known for them.. he would blow up the play before it got started..Sapp helped to pull a franchise from the depths of hell to the top...7 pro bowls and NFL defensive player of the year..

Most around the Tampa Bay area, as well as the many NFL fans that got a glimpse of Sapp's personality, consider him a grade A *******. But not me. I don't give a shit about getting his autograph. I don't want him to be a role model to my kids. As a fan, all I ever want from any player is for him to lay it out 100 percent. From 1-4 on Sundays, lay it on the line. Period. And he did that when he strapped it on with the Bucs. From the Yucs to SB Champs.

Thanks Big Daddy. See you in Canton.
