How to be an Azov battalion 'hero' :

1.Bully and torture civilians for 8 years

2.Using civilians as human shields lose the first battle you have with an actual army

3.Hide in a sewer for 2 months while your comrades literally rot

4. Surrender

5 Scientific, Peer-Reviewed Studies That Prove Republicans Are Just Stupid (surprise surprise)

CONSERVATISM, RACISM AND LOW IQ

“Bright Minds and Dark Attitudes” is a study performed by researchers at Brock University, and it caused quite the commotion when its results were released. The researchers found that having lower general intelligence in childhood could predict conservative and racist ideas as an adult. That’s right: having a low IQ score makes you more likely to vote conservative… and be a racist.

Now this isn’t to say that all Republicans are stupid. On the contrary: I fully believe that rich Republicans are some of the smartest people in the world. They literally trick poor Republicans into thinking it’s the big bad government’s fault that they’re poor, and in doing so, they make these people vote against their own best interests.

Even though being conservative doesn’t make you stupid, there’s no doubt that being stupid makes you more likely to be conservative.

FOX NEWS MAKES YOU LESS INFORMED

It’s not like we really needed a study to tell us this, but the survey “What You Know Depends on What You Watch,” undertaken by Fairleigh Dickinson University, found that watching Fox News results in knowing less about the world. Researchers asked 1,185 respondents which news shows they consumed and then asked general questions about newsworthy events.

Five questions were asked, and those who watch Fox News exclusively got 1.04 correct, on average. Individuals watching MSNBC, on the other hand, got 1.26. NPR listeners? They got an impressive 1.51. The Daily Show? Surely a “fake news” program couldn’t make you more informed than “the most watched cable news channel in America.”

Yep, as it turns out, The Daily Show viewers scored 1.42 on average. The best thing about this study, though? It asked questions to people who watch no news at all, and those individuals scored 1.22 on average. That’s right: Fox News makes you less informed than watching no news at all.
Let that sink in.

LOW EFFORT THOUGHT LEADS TO CONSERVATISM

We live in a complex world, and understanding this world requires complex thought. It would be easy to look at conservatives who think that all Muslims are terrorists or all Mexicans should “go home” and say that they’re engaged in simplistic thought. Instead of making that assumption ourselves, though, let’s look towards science.

Researchers over at the University of Arkansas released their study [link opens PDF] “Low-Effort Thought Promotes Political Conservatism,” and things started to make sense. They performed four different studies, all of which reduced subjects’ ability to use “effortful, deliberate thought,” and they found that situations causing low-effort thought resulted in more conservative beliefs.

Heck, one of the studies found that, as an individual becomes more intoxicated on alcohol, their conservative beliefs increase. Which makes perfect sense, because if you ever saw me vote for Sarah Palin, you can rest assured that I’m drunk.

Scratch that. It’s a catch-22. The amount of alcohol it would require for me to vote for Palin would literally kill me.

Literally.

HOMOPHOBIA LINKED TO LOW ABSTRACT REASONING SKILLS

Let’s get this out of the way first: Yes, there are “liberals” out there who are homophobic. That being said, homophobia is a largely conservative disease. It’s conservatives who usually hold homophobic attitudes and fight against marriage equality. With that being said, let’s look at abstract reasoning skills.

A researcher out of Kent State University undertook a study he would eventually title “Abstract Reasoning as a Predictor of Attitudes Toward Gay Men.” What he found was no big surprise. Those who have lower abstract reasoning skills experience higher levels of anti-gay prejudice.

When they looked at other predictors of anti-gay prejudice, they found that right-wing authoritarian ideas were most strongly related to this prejudice. So lacking abstract reasoning and being a right-wing nut job increases your prejudice against gays. Like we couldn’t have figured that out on our own.

IT’S ALL IN THE BRAIN, BABY

Some of the aforementioned studies show us that being dumb makes you more likely to be conservative, and unfortunately, watching conservative channels like Fox News can make you even more dumb. Of course, conservatives will likely attack these studies and say that they’re biased.

Unfortunately for them, the study “Political Orientations Are Correlated with Brain Structure in Young Adults” was released. The researchers in this study performed MRI scans on participants. Just so you know, there’s no way to insert liberal bias into an MRI scan.

What they found was that “conservative students had a larger amygdala than liberals.” Conversely, the anterior cingulate cortex of liberal students had more gray matter than their conservative counterparts. Here’s why that’s important:

“The amygdala is… active during states of fear and anxiety. […] The anterior cingulate cortex [is] a region of the brain that helps people cope with complexity.”
And the best part? This is biological. There’s no arguing the point. Liberals’ brains are biologically more able to handle complex thought, and conservatives base their beliefs on fear. This study isn’t hard to believe when one considers the fear conservatives showcase for immigrants, Muslims, minorities and any of the other million things they’re bigoted towards. Hence the success of the 24-7 fear cycle of Fox News.

These are peer-reviewed studies, by scientists who cumulatively have more degrees than I’ve got houses in my neighborhood. Conservatives can try to say they’re biased all they want, but as we know from their beliefs on climate change, they don’t subscribe much to the area of science.

Conservatives are dumb… it’s a scientific fact.

Amazing information. Perfect example of why science is to be trusted and the go to for facts!

Science determined that....

Men have bigger brains than women
Neanderthals had bigger brains than Homo Saipan
Blacks IQ 85
Hispanics IQ 95
Whites IQ 105
Asians IQ 115

Trust the science folks!

Fox News makes you dumb! This is science and fact by studies! And nobody knows more about what Fox News says than liberals! Because they watch it non stop. Jokes on them I guess. As they are in the know about everything Fox News says. If you want to know what Fox News is saying then phone a liberal friend. Trust the science!

Also, studies concluded by science tell us that the more alcohol you consume, the more conservative you become. Guess that explains why that multi millionaire gate keeper Pelosi keeps San Francisco a Racist shithole to everyone except Asians and Whites. Trust the science!

But back to the brain and intelligence vs Dumb Conservatives via the science!

The brain size of a man is larger than a female. Basically in a nutshell it has more neurons and allows for better processing. I guess that helps explain why women didn’t become rulers and sail the seas discovering lands while always being suppressed by men. Bigger stronger smarter, and hence why men have been superior over women. If women were so equal then they wouldn’t be crying over everything like they do today. They would have done, and men would be told get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich. Truth hurts.

The “cave beast” or “blue eye Devil” as honkey white folks are called by blacks (need some street cred in the hood to understand the use of this, which no shit spewing liberals will because they have the least amount of interaction with blacks)! Them ole hairy cave beast otherwise known as Neanderthals have the biggest brain vs homo Saipan. The ole cave crawlers had very sophisticated tools and were apex predators. Neanderthals are not technically extinct. Genes are most prominent in Europe to Asian to Middle Eastern. With basically 0% of the genes you will find in sub Africa.

Now you can find a 50 plus year (oh soo smart have soo many degrees gots me my college edumication group of scientists) Scientific data under The American Psychology Association on IQ and brain size by race. Here you will find that Blacks have the smallest brain size by a small degree vs Hispanics and a larger degree smaller vs whites and Asians. Bell curve from many different studies going back to early 60’s to present day reveal Blacks 85 Hispanic 95 White 105 Asian 115. You can find arguments that say social environment as influential but by science environmental aspects don’t change the biological science. Trust the science folks!

So by trusting the science we can establish that most Fox News viewers are A)Black B)Racist C)Conservatives. Trust the science, never forget!

And Homophobia is not a disease. It’s an ideology. But rest assured if it was, then once again, in America you will find a big hatred to gays being predominantly against homosexual folks in the black community. You’re gay ass may not get served cake in a white folks bakery. But your gay ass is likely to get its face kicked in at the local block.

Trust the educated scientists folks! Never forget!

In Russia, as Prices Soar, the Outlook for Its Economy Grows ‘Especially Gloomy’

t_logo_291_black.png

Patricia Cohen and Valeriya S

LONDON — After sanctions hobbled production at its assembly plant in Kaliningrad, the Russian automaker Avtotor announced a lottery for free 10-acre plots of land — and the chance to buy seed potatoes — so employees could grow their own food in the westernmost fringe of the Russian empire during “the difficult economic situation.”
In Moscow, shoppers complained that a kilogram of bananas had shot up to 100 rubles from 60, while in Irkutsk, an industrial city in Siberia, the price of tampons at a store doubled to $7.
Banks have shortened receipts in response to a paper shortage. Clothing manufacturers said they were running out of buttons.
“The economic prospects for Russia are especially gloomy,” the Bank of Finland said in an analysis this month. “By initiating a brutal war against Ukraine, Russia has chosen to become much poorer and less influential in economic terms.”
Even the Central Bank of Russia has predicted a staggering inflation rate between 18 and 23 percent this year, and a falloff in total output of as much as 10 percent.

It is not easy to figure out the impact of the war and sanctions on the Russian economy at a time when even using the words “war” and “invasion” are illegal. President Vladimir V. Putin has insisted that the economy is weathering the measures imposed by the United States, Europe and others.
Financial maneuvers taken by Moscow helped blunt the economic damage initially. At the start of the conflict, the central bank doubled interest rates to 19 percent to stabilize the currency, and recently was able to lower rates to 14 percent. The ruble is tradingat its highest level in more than two years. And even though Russia has had to sell oil at a discount, dizzying increases in global prices are causing tax revenues from oil to surge past $180 billion this year despite production cuts, according to Rystad Energy. Natural gas deliveries will add another $80 billion to Moscow’s treasury.

In any case, Mr. Putin has shown few signs that pressure from abroad will push him to scale back military strikes against Ukraine.
Still, Avtotor’s vegetable patch lottery and what it says about the vulnerabilities facing the Russian people, along with shortages and price increases, are signs of the economic distress that is gripping some Russian businesses and workers since the war started nearly three months ago.
Analysts say that the rift with many of the world’s largest trading partners and technological powerhouses will inflict deep and lasting damage on the Russian economy.
“The really hard times for the Russian economy are still in front of us,” said Laura Solanko, a senior adviser at the Bank of Finland Institute for Emerging Economies.
The stock of supplies and spare parts that are keeping businesses humming will run out in a few months, Ms. Solanko said. At the same time, a lack of sophisticated technology and investment from abroad will hamper Russia’s productive capacity going forward. The Russian Central Bank has already acknowledged that consumer demand and lending are on a downhill slide, and that “businesses are experiencing considerable difficulties in production and logistics.”
Ivan Khokhlov, who co-founded 12Storeez, a clothing brand that evolved from a showroom in his apartment in Yekaterinburg to a major company with 1,000 employees and 46 stores, is contending with the problem firsthand.
“With every new wave of sanctions, it becomes harder to produce our product on time,” Mr. Khokhlov said. The company’s bank account in Europe was still blocked because of sanctions shortly after the invasion, while logistical disruptions had forced him to raise prices.
“We face delays, disruptions and price increases,” he said. “As logistics with Europe gets destroyed, we rely more on China, which has its own difficulties too.”
Hundreds of foreign firms have already curtailed their business in or withdrawn altogether from Russia, according to an accounting kept by the Yale School of Management. And the exodus of companies continued this week with McDonald’s. The company said that after three decades, it planned to sell its business, which includes 850 restaurants and franchises and employs 62,000 people in Russia.
“I passed the very first McDonald’s that opened in Russia in the ’90s,” Artem Komolyatov, a 31-year-old tech worker in Moscow, said recently. “Now it’s completely empty. Lonely. The sign still hangs. But inside it’s all blocked off. It’s completely dead.”
Nearby two police officers in bulletproof vests and automatic rifles stood guard, he said, ready to head off any protesters.
In Leningradsky railway station, at one of the few franchises that remained open on Monday, customers lined up for more than an hour for a last taste of McDonald’s hamburgers and fries. The French automaker Renault also announced a deal with the Russian government to leave the country on Monday, although it includes an option to repurchase its stake within six years. And the Finnish paper company, Stora Enso, said it was divesting itself of three corrugated packaging plants in Russia.
More profound damage to the structure of the Russian economy is likely to mount in the coming years even in the moneymaking energy sector.
Europe’s vow to eventually turn its back on Russian oil and gas will compel Moscow to search further afield for customers, particularly in China and India. But the pivot to Asia, said Daria Melnik, a senior analyst at Rystad Energy, “will take time and massive infrastructure investments that in the medium term will see Russia’s production and revenues drop precipitously.”
Without sufficient storage capacity, Russia may have to cut its overall oil and gas production. Wells aren’t like faucets, though, easily turned on and off. Cap one, and most likely it can never be used again.
“Some Russian spare capacity will be destroyed,” Ms. Melnik said of the country’s oil flow.
Anton Siluanov, the Russian finance minister, said that sanctions could cause as much as a 17 percent drop in oil output this year.
Bigger slides are apparent in other sectors. Passenger car production was down 72 percent in March compared with the previous year.
In the industrial sector, which includes chemicals, oil, gas and manufacturing, the four-week average for the volume of imports is down 88 percent compared with early February, before the invasion, according to FourKites, which tracks supply chains. The volume of consumer-related imports is down 76 percent, making it difficult for Russians to buy tampons and cellphones, and for hospitals to get replacement parts and supplies for dialysis machines and ventilators.
In a survey of health care professionals in April, 60 percent of respondents said they had experienced shortages already. Among imported products, the items missing most included disposable gloves, catheters and suture materials.
For consumers, price jumps on basic goods have been so noticeable that a Twitter account has sprung up mocking social media posts in which Russians lament price increases on everything from Palmolive shampoo to nectarines. It is called But What Happened? and has nearly 44,000 followers.
A 26-year-old Moscow resident, who asked that her name not be used because of fear of reprisals, said the cost of imported fruit, like the bananas she puts in her oatmeal every morning, had skyrocketed.
“It’s the product I buy every single time I go to the store, so I noticed immediately,” she said. Her total grocery bill has shot up by about one third, she said.
In Irkutsk, the price of a box of tampons doubled from $3.50 within weeks of the war’s start, said a 23-year-old designer who earns $450 a month and asked that she not be named. “For the same amount of money, I could buy a basket of good groceries, or a new T-shirt,” she said, comparing prices before the war.
Outside of the country, Russia’s economic prospects are also shrinking. Earlier this month, Fennovoima, a Finnish company that operates nuclear power plants, abruptly announced that it was terminating its contract to build a plant in the northern city of Hanhikivi with Rosatom, the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation, which lists Mr. Putin as its founder. “We are extremely disappointed,” Rosatom, which owns a third of the project through a Finnish subsidiary, said in a statement: “The reasons behind this decision are completely inexplicable to us.”
