play money is a totally different game than playing with real money. You will lose your ass if you bring that same style of play to a real table (at least anything above microlimits)

If new, I would recommend a very TIGHT style of play...meaning, fold most hands. If you are chasing 3-card flushes after the flop constantly like people do in the play money tables, you are going to get beat bad.

tight + aggressive = good

fold fold fold see the flop for as cheap as possible fold if too much pre raising folkd if you have nothing on the flop unless you can see the turn and river for cheap and you have good possibiltys. dont pre raise the flop unless you have a real high pocket pair and you know most others will fold

I forgot to add, go balls out when you have something. if you have 2 pair and you figure no one else has much or 3 of a kind or whatever it is even flush full house bet everything bet it all.. .thats the idea is you want to conserve the chips and not take silly chances but use them to make the kill when youve got something. make them pay....but you have to figure the probable for what your opponent could have this is the key.

good advise except if someone check raises you on the turn I would be leary...exp at 1-2 games...IMO they are trying to "Smart" and have a high pocket pair or over pair at the least IMO

Just play your hand. Live and learn. It will not happen overnight as you know. Practice makes perfect. Play for small stakes and learn a little each session.
