Walked by the White House and UST today...

There are always protesters at the back end of the White House, but today was the first time I saw people protesting in front of the Treasury building. I am sort of amazed more people aren't there or in front of the Fed with signs but whatever.

There were about 4-5 people... all middle aged women throwing a hissy fit. The leader had a PA, and the women were going nuts screaming at everybody and anybody. There were 4-6 cops in front of them and they had a collection of signs they were throwing in people's faces. "700 billion hand out for wallstreet, but nothing for home owners"

They said that King George was " giving money away to billionares". Is that what the left taught these people? Do they even have jobs if they are protesting out there that early? They didn't look or seem very educated, they looked like trailor trash out there hooting and hollaring at the suits walking by.

I guess it is easier to beg and complain for free money, than it is to study your ass off, work hard, life frugally, go to college, hold a 9-5, and pay all your taxes and everything off.

I actually don't think it was bad! I am a fully supportive member of the group protesting in those photos. Perhaps some research on www.fedupusa.com is in order.

I really haven't spent much time in this forum, but recent events have given me some more free time. I was given some great advice by a wise old gentleman when I was still in my formative years. I am not sure of who originally said it, and he never told me, but he told me never to forget it:

"Don't trust someone who tells you whom to hate."

I think a lot of people in here need to mull that one over. I think I am going back to just lurking in the gambling forums I follow and doing the occasional pop-in down in the Financial Forum. Right now I need to take a shower.

The only people losing their houses are the ones that shouldn't have had them to begin with. Owning a house is not a right, nor should it be. One shouldn't be able to get a loan with 1-3% down, and no verifiable income. But rules like a steady job, low debt to income ratio, good credit, and a 10-20% down payment are racist, right? Give me a break. They made their bed, they can lay in it. Same goes for those that refinanced and thought their house was a fucking money tree. No matter what side of the political fence they're on, they made the decision to leverage themselves like they did. Zero sympathy over here.

1% to 3% ?

How about no money down plus the bank will give you an extra 10%, so you have a mortgage for 110% of your home value. On top of that, we will give you a HELOC w/a 3% rate for the first six months. Don't worry home values only go up and interest rates won't rise....oops, I guess not.
