Are there any places here where you can walk-up and get something notarized? Like maybe a mail box/shipping place or a bank?

I know most lawyers are notaries, but I hate lawyers.

You can walk into the US embassy to get something notarized for the U.S.; but their working hours are a bit thin. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday- 1:00PM - 2:30PM)

Hey, I just thought of a good question. Will the U.S. embassy aspostille their notarizations?

I have some documents I need to send to Russia. Without an apostille, I have to take the documents first to a CR notary, second to the yellow house (CR Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and finally to the Russian embassy in Lomas de Ayarco Sur. Fucking annoying, I've procrastinated for a year.

as you probably imagine the answer to that is a no.

Every time I need something notarized its translates into paying 10k colones to a lawyer.
