still 4-0 +6.9

been contemplating plays but I've been too chicken shit to pull the trigger

however of my leans 2 of them got rained out (balt) one of them won (balt) [though I did flip flop quite a bit on that one] and one of them lost BAD (Atlanta)

tonight I'm turning around on the sox

they have been able to score runs but between pedro and the bullpen chumps they have been having a tough time.

I think wakefield is ready to do well this being the first time since game 7 that he has faced the yanks in live action.

also I think that though the pen is tired - francona should have learned his lesson about playing with fire (timlin, castillo, williamson, etc) and will stick to foulke with more confidence today.

I suspect it will be a nice contrast as well to show the yankers the knuckleball and then to the foulke ball

anyway

Jaypaw,

What's up??? ... Man them Sox looked rough last night. I laid a little to much wood and am eating crow. To much confidence on Pedro to start off the year. Like always -- History repeats itself ---Add all the variables and I should have known last night to lay off. Man, did you see the game. -- Sox did have their opportunities. Look at all the base runners they left on base again. Cold weather deal it seems. Maybe something to remember in the future with them Sox. This scares me though. I do think the cold weather has a lot to do with games. But, sht, they should have never lost the game.-- Again.. Pedro really sucked. Not even 1 fastball over 90.. I am not worried. Give him time.. Let it warm up. He still will be a force to deal with. Still one of the top pitchers in the league for several more years.

Tonight,
I took Sox +1.5 runs. -135 I truly think they should win outright. However, as you know it is chilly again tonight. I think Wakefield over Vázquez. Wakefield is a breed of his own. He can handle these temps. He should freak out Yanks tonight. Should be a wild night with the Wake. He usually goes well into the game. I am with you. No confidence with (Williamson, Timlin, Castillo, Hell-- We should add Kim in there as well-- Hopefully he will stay on DL and decide to go play with himself) With that in mind. I am taking plus the 1.5 runs because-- Honestly, The temps. scare me and I am not convinced Sox can move the runners. Yanks got better pitching then Birds. But, I feel very confident Sox can stay close or as stated win outright. Me tonight... Take the Sox +1.5 Runs!!!!

As far as Foulke.... Man, What a great addition. I think we have already seen what he is going to do for the Sox. Sht if we can have him close and the Sox play those late inning rallies like last year. Should be exciting year..!!!!

Good luck tonight..

nice error manny

manny loves this

the worst that can happen for him is that he will end up on the yanks

and that is what he wants anyways

Jaypaw,

Keep up the good work. Looks like a sweet day tommorow as well. (Also, In hoops.)

I did see Wakefield on NESN with Moore. Wake is a cool guy. I must say. I really like him. Back in the day like what 10 years ago.. It was like AH sht. Wakefield is comming in the game. Now he has become a master. Truly a force in the league. For the Sox he's just kinda hidden by Pedro, Schilling and Lowe. I look forward to seeeing what he does this year. You see those guy's whiff at some of those pitches tonight?? LOL . It's was halarious.

As far as tonight. Great calls. Weird game.. I I think the Yanks are going to be reeeling this year a bit more than people expect. Course in the ensd they will hang around.. Ya., they got the payroll as we do. The Allstars at about every position. Posada is hot.. But, I think the Yanks are going to experience some tough series as they have already shown. Many of the teams have closed the gap. Should be a very competitive year.

TOMMOROW!!!!!
Sox pound Yanks.. Schilling will be masterful. As stated in one of my previous posts. I think Messina is done. He has seen his best days. I have not been impressed at all with him. Last year he was lucky to win as many games as he did. He does have a decent record aginst the Bo Sox. He will get his wins this year-- but, not as many as last and declining from there.

TOMMOROW!!!
However, the temps warm up. The sun shines. The crowd roars.. The beer goes down easy.. Eat a dog or two.. Nothing better than the Park.

Taking the Sox tonight at -130 . I have to beleive tommorow the line will move up.

Also, tommorow I like::
Florida, Houston,

Parlay::
Cubbies (Wood pitching at home) and Phili. (Playing lowely Mont.) Laying the wood on wood and a parlay.

Great luck to all on Sat..
