Frankly, I don't trust it. Would rather talk to a live person and have the conversation recorded for posterity. I have a question about some of the mostly on line books, such as Pinnacle, W.S.E.X. etc. They do accept wagers over the phone also, don't they? I guess the phone minnimum's are geerally higher, what are they? Any help in this area would be appreciated. Thanx in advance---

Speaking about Pinnacle only - you can play by phone at call center but with no reduced juice. So it will cost you a ton in the long run to have your voice recorded making your plays. You might want to print out screen shots of all your bets online if your worried about having a record of your bets.

If wagering by computer wasn't trustworthy, don't you think you would have heard about it on here by now? We see many issues on here, but almost all are issues you could have with call-in bets just as easily as bets online.

I'm more afraid of a bet getting screwed up on a call in. I don't have the tapes.

I guess I'm not as computer savvy as you guys, I'm sure you're right.

I always feel like there will inevitably be a screw up when I'm speaking to someone on the phone. (has happened). Always place my bets now by computer. At least then "I" have a paper trail.

Call -in is last resort for me, only used during DOS attacks, which seem to have cooled off. Phone in is a pain, and by no means do I feel more secure. I'm no computer geek, but feel way better with computer.

I haven't got screwed either way, I get it by books failing.

Never ever ever had a problem at pinnacle betting online.

Calling in bets is foolish IMO. Especially pinnacle. #1 I'm spending up my cell phone minutes and #2) Juice isn't the same and #3) I hate asking for lines on certain games...i Want them all in front of me.

Betting online is just so much easier.

About 5 years myself...and I've only done a couple.

Almost everytime it was because the internet wagering was down and they were only taking phone wagers. That hasn't happened very often and that's the only time I'd ever phone anything in.

The ONLY other time is if I'm on vacation and I can't find a connection for my laptop... But finding a wireless internet location now is fairly easy.

Either are fine IMO. I like to talk to the operators sometimes.

Only phoned in a few bets earlier this season with betjm during the hurricanes...didn't like it at all. The operator's accent was so thick I could barely understand her. And when I asked her to repeat what she said, she acted kind of put off. I'd much rather place my bets through computer...although I've fat fingered a few bets...ironically most have worked in my favor too...hmmmm
