Just got off the phone. There is no way to make a withdrawal whatsoever without paying a fee. I was going to depo via neteller. I even said they could write a check and put a stamp on it when I get paid for all I cared.

Traditional NETeller.com

<TABLE class=contenttable cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=cheader>Money In:</TD><TD class=ctext>We cover transaction fees from NETeller to V-Wager.com on deposits of $300 US or more into your wagering account. Otherwise, client covers fees.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=cheader>Money Out:</TD><TD class=ctext>Fees incurred for NETeller withdrawals are the sole responsibility of the client.
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I was going to make a nice deposit VIA neteller but this is not very competitive.

The contests are a very nice jesture by VWAGER they have done nothing wrong and seem like a solid book with NO complaints. I just wish they could be a bit more competitive with all the books out there.

Had a 5 minute conversation with a lady there. I told her I really wanted to deposit there. I told her that the other 250 books I have played at have NEVER chaged for a w/d ever. Money still sitting in neteller if they offer a free w/d I will deposit there.

Believe they have different sets of guidelines for players that have been there for longer stints.

Some are granted one free withdrawl every 30 days.

My suggestion would be to try and persuade them to offer you a free withdrawl in someway.

Send them $50, play $5 a week for the contest, bet for real at a real book.

Great advice Doug - that should really get more books to step up and offer contests.

The problem with your post is that by advising posters to just do the minimum required to play a contest does little to help The Rx. find future sponsers regardless of who they are. We work hard to arrange contests and it becomes more difficult when prospective sponsers can point to a post like that and say "why should we sponser a contest with that mentality prevelant at your site".

Sure you can play these contests by just doing the very minimum required but the actual spirit intended is for contestants to give the sponser a fair try.

How about the sponsor giving us a fair shake? In todays market it`s a 2 way street.

When a sportsbooks sponsors a free contest, at this site or ANY other, I personally like to go above and beyond what is required and try to give them a nice assortment of action to show support and hopefully instill in them to consider sponsoring contests in the future........and most importantly, just to say thank you.

fishhead - in joining the last 4 sportsbooks i clicked the books from the above links which i guess the rx gets some referral bonus or at least they see its generating business

however this is another example of a book that i wouldnt give a chance too- simply because of their rules

for the record - i clicked hollywood, bjm, cris and cascade

Wil, I do not think you are being fair in regards to Doug's post. For a book to charge a fee to withdrawal is absurd. With a small $50 deposit you cannot expect to withdrawal much so you will not be getting charged much to cashout if you should win. This forum is about helping players and sharing information. Unfortunately for the majority of us it is not about achieving advertising revenue. As long as this book charges for cashouts then they will continually be bashed for it. Do you expect players to post up 4 or 5 figures to a book that charges to cashout just because they happen to have some decent contest promotions? There are too many other places out there that offer freebies and do not charge for cashouts.

WVU -- that is fine for players who can't afford to or don't want to pay for withdrawals or deposits (under $300 in this case). The cost of transfering funds is a major expense for many books and some have to configure their operating model accordingly. Should a book force itself in insolvency by offering withdrawal policies they cannot afford?

I am talking about the spirit intended regarding contest rules. Why not be rational and say I cannot afford or will not play at a book that doesn't offer me free withdrawals or free deposits so I have to pass on the contest. Like I said the rules are rules and posters can do the bare minimum to qualify (many do) and try to win the $ offered by the book they never have any intention of giving some play to. No one is saying that anyone is required to do more than that.

The bar around here has been raised quite a bit in the last couple of years to the point where we bash books for the slighest percieved fault. Perhaps that is a good thing in general and helps create a better buyers market for players. Contests however are generally fun for posters and shouldn't cause the sponser to be ridiculed. I made my post to Doug to point out that advising others to do the absolute minimum required when it comes to contests has a negative effect overall when it comes to moderators lining up future contests. In sense we shoot ourselves in the foot because of minor (flaws) at the sponser book.

Actually I'd bet they charge $15, way too much on a small wd. To cash out effectively ( when contest is over) you have to bet both sides of a game until you lose at VW.

Their lines aren't bad on baseball games close to pick, competitive with other dimelines, the problem is the fees. It's for this reason I will only play the minimum there.

The management is very short-sighted with this policy. VW has nice 10k limits on bases, higher than most books.

Doug

For contests purposes why not consider the bonus as offsetting the cost of deposits or withdrawals. VWager offers 10% for deposits - 10% for re-ups and 10% referrals.

1. You shouldn't blast the book for this.

2. If you are gonna just deposit the $50, you are free to do so. You don't have to trumpet it to the whole board. I also lineup contests for another website, and one of their major fears is will they get picked apart even after their nice gesture.

3. Doug is right, this is a short sighted policy. I would assume that by sponsoring these 2 nice contests, that V-Wager is looking to attract longterm customers.

It's still a cost. If I opened an account at a place I haven't used ( like Cascade) I'd get to keep the bonus, and get a free WD ( I presume).

I don't believe in referral bonuses, very few books actually pay them.

I'll continue to play mainly at places like Mansion, and keep a few more options open for shopping.

VW is just not keeping up with competition. Very few books don't give at least one free WD a month. Skybook is the only one that comes to mind, but they at least give the half ( not sure if that includes play-offs).

Doug, my advice to you is to play for the lessor prize which does not require making any kind of deposit. The contest is therefore free of any costs.

(full cash prizes are reserved for active v-wager customers, active is defined as at least one 5$ wager per week for the duration of the playoffs, inactive accounts will receive 1/3 the prize amount. There is a 7X rollover on all prize money & all prize money must stay in V-Wager account for 30 days prior to any withdrawal request.)<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The question is - does springing for the extra expense you mention worth the differance in prize money.. At some point when you take bonus money plus differance in prize money we arrive at a splitting of financial hairs. For example right now you can deposit $100 at VWager free and get an additional $20 as a bonus which would most likely allow you to be eligible for the larger prizes should you win any. How much more than the $20 bonus would a player be out if he had to withdraw say $1000 when the contest ended and after rollowver requirements are met?
