Great bounce back day, going 4-0 (+10.5 Units). Back to business today. Starting with:

REDS/METS OVER 7.5 (EVEN) 2 Units
The 7.5 number baffles me here as a handicapper in this case. Two pitchers that ended Spring terribly, and are tailing their respective rotations, getting such credit is beyond me. Niese may have had starter stuff in the past, but there is without a doubt, a reason they didn't tap him in previous games given that they opened at home 4 games ago. Alfredo Simon is a bullpen pitcher in a starting role, also. His numbers thus far are great against this Mets lineup, but the sample size is so small. And being that he is a bullpen pitcher, I'm sure his stuff will lose a little edge.

The writeup is copied from a response of mine in another thread that I posted in the midst of my research of this pick. FYI.

More tomorrow..

Quick note on the STL/PIT over; the Cards could reach this number themselves against a fade-able Volquez, but I eyed some good numbers on the part of the Pirates lineup against Wainwright (4.91 ERA, .320 BA, .395 OBP). Not much is expected of the Pirates in this spot (#1 vs #5), so swing away.
