2-1 (+2 Units) yesterday, but I really felt that I made the right call on the loser(blown save in the 9th; 2 outs). Anyway, onto tonight's action. I stayed away from the early games today. I'm going to be short on write-up today, I'm house sitting for my dad while he's at "jazz fest". Taking care of my 95 year-old grandmother is part of the deal.
1st 5 Innings - Phillies/Dodgers OVER 3.5 (-115) 3 Units
This is my only play today, a story of two overachieving pitchers under the big lights in the city of angels. The Dodgers have seen Kendrick for a combined 118 AB, and have hit him well (especially in the heart of the lineup). This guy has gotten away with his sub-par stuff for long enough this season, and I think the Dodgers lineup hammers him early tonight. Haren has also been pitching over his head this season. His ERA at Dodger Stadium was over 4 as an opposing pitcher with previous clubs, so I'm not convinced that this park somehow "fixed" him and I don't see anything in his mechanics to indicate that he has changed anything. The weather conditions are favorable for ball carry, and I expect to see the ball to do just that.
Good luck everyone.
