2-0 (+5.4 Units) yesterday. These weekend cards give me the creeps. Too many pit falls for casual gamblers.
RAYS TT OVER 4 (-105) 2 Units
There is no way Alfredo Simon is as good as the Mets made him look in his first start this season. I didn't see anything different mechanically. If anything, he lost some velocity and added a minute amount of movement to his 2-seamer. The Mets just let him have his way with them. They didn't take any pitches, made no attempt to wear him down. 79 pitches in 7 innings?? The Rays have a more patient lineup and several of their players have seen Simon during his time with the Orioles. In 3 games against the Rays, Simon has an ERA of 4.86 going 16.1 innings, giving up 18 H, 8 BB, and 11 runs (9 ER). The middle of the lineup has outstanding power numbers against him and this ballpark is not known for being stingy.
More in a bit.
