The debate is tomorrow night. The moderator is Gwen Ifill. The moderator has a financial interest in Barack Obama winning in November.

Ifill has a book due out around inauguration day.

The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama (Hardcover)

by Gwen Ifill (Author)

This title will be released on January 20, 2009.

Now what happens to Ifill's book if Barack Obama is not sworn in on that day? Easy ... it doesn't sell. So could someone please tell me why she's moderating this debate when clearly she has a financial interest in making Sarah Palin look bad?

Uh cuz she's a total pro at her job? She moderated the '04 VP debate and I heard no complaints.

Do you happen to know exactly what the book is about? Regardless of Obama winning OR losing, the fact is he's a contemporary phenomenon, and is worthy of being a book's partial subject. Reporters do that, they report on interesting stories and people. My understanding is this book is about 4 unique people.

All her colleagues seem to say she's as fair and balanced as a reporter can get. Unlike the clan over at Fox Noise, who touts a good game, but delivers pure partisan hyperbole all the time.

:smoking:

Poor Sarah, we're going to need an excuse if she bombs tomorrow.

:sad3:

Sarah is being set up so all she has to do is not completely f up and she wins.

This is going to be surely entertaining as both debaters goal is simply not to look like total morons.
