Scott's a good guy. I'm on the left coast otherwise I'd certainly catch a game with you (love hoops enough that it doesn't matter if it's the Sixers or the Warriors), or at least grab a beer or something. Even if we disagree on politics I've always enjoyed shooting the shit on sports with you.
Sixers future isn't bad. I know it looks rough at the moment but they are stacked with assets. Okafor looked great Wednesday night. He and Noel are a perfect combo. One rim protector, one scoring big. They got Stauskas for a bag of rocks and Saric looks like a player. They need a point guard in the worst way but with their own pick and the Laker pick they should have a shot at turning those assets into a PG one way or another. Embiid is the wild card. He's probably Greg Oden 2.0 but you never know. He was the right pick even if it doesn't work out.

Really good debut for Okafor. I'm not sure they don't think Tony Wroten is their pg.....I don't think so but they seem to love him down there. They "should" be good in a few years if things pan out. Embiid looks like it could be a disaster.....he's partying all the time and might not be too interested in basketball. Hope I'm wrong because he would certainly have an impact. I'm hoping they can scrape together 25 wins this year for some hope. I'm heading down tonight for home opener on the way to AC. I watched a lot of Wroten when he was at Washington and actually followed him a bit in the NBA also. He has a ton of physical tools, just not sure he has the mentality to be a Brett Brown PG. He's a little selfish and turnover prone which isn't exactly the "Spurs way". Good young talent on that team, though.
Yeah, that NBA start was cringe worthy for me. Always been my best sport. Hit 58.76% (104-73) in 2013-2014 and 54.92% (145-119) last year (documented here for anyone that thinks I'm lying). Hopefully this isn't the begging of the end.
