VISA NOT ALLOWING ANY GAMING TRANSACTIONS(from 2003)

I have used visa at youbet.com for over 1 year. I just used it 2 weeks ago to fund my account, I went today to fund it and there was a "Visa Alert" saying visa is no longer allowing these type of transaction. I gave it a shot and was declined, just a fyi.........G.....

It's been happening for years. The US doesn't think you should be able to gamble. Unless it's in vegas or on their rigged lotteries.

Actually it is up to your Card Issuing Bank as to whether they will accept credit card transactions tagged with the merchant category code of 7995 which represents gambling. Of course we have seen more and more of these issuing banks bend to pressure from the US gov't. There are many options still available, but don't count the trusty credit card out - there are ways to make that deposit...
