Looks to me like a possible cover. Maryland had a hard battle down at Florida St.I would think they would like a nice easy game at home. But Virginia will be fighting every minute of this game. Im no handicapper but 9+ looks good to me ....any thoughts.

Maryland has just experienced two crushing ACC road losses. Is it time to get healthy with this home game against a lower level opponent? I would think so but I'm laying off the game because it is very hard to determine how the team will react. My guess is Gary will fire up the team and Maryland wins by 16.

Maryland is not a good team either. Gary hasnt had a good team since they won the title and he still gets credit as a top notch coach. These are two below average ACC teams. To me the only side to take in this game is the very generous 9 points.

On another note .. both teams beat Georgia T but Vir. beat them at G. T.
The only team Mary has beat by ten points in the last several games was Charlotte at home.
I will make small bet on Virginia.....and maybe Boston C.

Well he is a great actual coach and gets his players to play well beyond their ability. He also finds players that are overlooked and turns them into sucessful players. Problem with Gary is that he doesn't recruit the studs and 1 year players-ESPN just ran a story on how PG County Maryland is producing the best players and almost none go to MD. This team is decent, but not a team that will blow out other squads. They lost to Morgan State and need to be shooting well to win ACC games. UVA could win outright to be honest, but Go Terps

Hard to call gary a great coach these days when his teams underachieve on a yearly basis. I love his intensity and he has had some great teams but to me his squads have had alot of chemistry problems and have struggled in the role of a favorite. Gary knows his basketball but that doesnt make him a great coach.

Ive always liked gary but he is a notoriously unaggressive recruiter. He has developed several diamonds in the rough but he could have done soo much more in my eyes if he put the effort into recruiting that some of these other coaches do. To me he is like the brilliant kid in class who never studies and is content to coast through class with a B. Maybe once he won his title he rearranged his prioriites a little. Nothing is wrong with that, but it has hurt Maryland basketball.
