Sorry for not posting this past weekend, took a vacation and didnt have time to do any research.

Season Record: 2-3-1 (-$50)

All bets are $50 (1u), and mainly played on Bovada...if i use 5 dimes i will make a note of that. If there is a line that is not available on the websites i base the decision on the conensus from vegas insider.

I finally had some time to look into the upcoming games and do a little research on them, below you will find my week 3 plays with a simple write up. I have had the best results in all sports with getting back to the basics, and not trying to be so analytical. I have used, created systems that have had some success, but most of the time i jus t consider the following criteria for betting, especially college football: 1. Coaching 2. Location 3. Previous Game Results (also in the manner they won or lost) 4. Biggest Weakness of either team 5.) Teams attitude about the game, etc.. All things that everyday folks can think about. I hope you all give your input, and enjoy the week!

Miami Hurricanes -4.5
@ Appalachian State: The notorious victory at Michigan has put the ball team from Boone, NC on the map and always has people second guessing when they play, what people believe to be a much better opponent. Their season opener against Tennessee has proved their ability to compete against quality teams, but also showed that they will have trouble scoring the football against a good defense, which Miami has proven to have in the first two games. Some may notice that they have played two below average programs, in Florida A&M and FAU. They put up 70 points in their first game which is impressive no matter who you play, and held their opponents to a combined 13 points over 8 quarters. They have the better coach, and will not treat this game lightly. I think the awareness level of the team will be very good, and they are ready to go into a tough environment and win big. They have a bye week coming up, and will be able to rest their players before Georgia Tech on october 1st. I see this game being close in the first quarter, and Miami taking over the rest of the way.

Utah St -9
vs. Arkansas State: This one was based heavily upon the fact that Utah State just played @ USC. They got beat handily, which is no suprise after the butt whipping Alabama put on them in week 1. I value a turnaround game a whole lot, i mean a whole lot. Ark st will be on the road for the second week in a row after a bad loss at Auburn, and will have hard time focusing before they finally come home on the 24th. The location advantage goes to Ut st and i believe they will take care of business at home on saturday.

VT -6.5
vs Boston College: The hokies just played the most attended game in the history of college football, and couldnt finish the deal. They will be able to correct their mistakes, strengthen their weaknesses against BC who struggled to beat Massachussets last week on the road. The fans are hungry for a victory at home for tech this week, and the coaching advantage goes the hokies. I think that boston college has alot more work to do before they come into Lane stadium and beat VT.

Alabama -10
@ Ole Miss: See nick sabans post game interview after last week. This team will be beyond prepared for ole miss or anybody for that matter, the tide beat wku by 28 and played terrible in my opinion, they did not play Saban style football, that will change this week

South Carolina - 4.5 vs ECU: After 2 straight road games the game camecock come home to play. The struggles have been apparent for them and i think muschamp will work out the kinks this week at practice. ECU is flying high after a nice win against NC state, and may be too confident going into a tough environment.

Texas A&M +4
@ Auburn: Although the aggies are playing on the road, they are simply the better team here, and they are ready for a challenge against a worthy opponent. Both teams will prepare well, but A&M will control the football and wear the tiger defense out.

That is it for now, goodluck this week.

Adding...

2U WKU -17 @ Miami OH: The hilltoppers are coming off of a tough loss at Bama, and look to redeem themselves against a really bad MIOH team. With one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, WKU will score at will and in my opinion blowout their opponent. The team may be a little banged up but Coach Brohm will have these guys ready to go on saturday.

Indy..much appreciated, been a while hope all is well with you.

Im going to add these for week 3....

2u - SoMiss/Troy Over 64.5: with a new offensive coordinator the golden eagles look explosive, discipline, and fundamentally sound. They put up 44 on kentucky week 1, and 56 on Sav St in week 2. Slowing down is not an option for them, and this week troy comes into town. In their last matchup against a solid clemson D they scored 24 which proves they have found a way to put up points against high caliber defenses. I have this game at 76, we will see if Southern miss can keep it rolling offensively.

1u - Cal/Tex Under 80:
Cal hasnt faced a defense like texas so far and will have their hands full on saturday night. Texas comes in full of confidence and a chip on their shoulder, Charlie strong is known for hardnosed defenses that dont allow teams to score in their traditional manner. I think the longhorns will take care of business and hold CAL to around 24 points, while putting up close to 41.

2u - NC St -21
vs Old Dominion: Most people know ODU from their upsets in basketball, not their football program. They will simply be outmatched this weekend, and the wolfpack are seeking revenge on their 3 point loss @ ECU. I really really like teams coming off of a close road loss, and playing a bad team. This matchup meets that criteria and i think NC state will win by 30.

Best of luck

adding one total for tonight..

1u - Ark St/Utah St O 55.5: both teams played a much better opponent than each other last week, struggling to score the football, and losing by 30 or more. With a week of preparation, each team should be sound on Offense and execute the gameplan. I see this one being around 63. I really like Utah state to come out firing tonight.

Week 3 takeaways...

-Alabama is good, but not like their past seasons, i see them losing atleast 1
-Clemson solved their offensive issues, even if it was against a horrible team, they are back in the swing of things
-Michigan is resilient, and very well coached
-Kentucky's defense is terrible, and will give up a ton of points on the season, might consider betting the over in their games
-South Carolina is not very good, and they really struggle on offense, might consider betting unders
-Texas A&M is legit, and needs to be considered ATS
-Arkansas is really good offensively, and might be considered for over wagers
-Uofl is legit, and has scored 60+ in all games so far, i dont see it changing against marshall who gave up 65 points against akron this week
-FSU will be overprepared and ready for revenge
-Georgia is a hard nose ball team, and will only get better under smart, look out!
-Ohio State made their case against oklahoma, and will be very good all year
-Texas shit the bed @ cal, looking to rebound next week
-Georgia tech is underrated, and will be looking for a huge win at home against clemson this week
-Tennessee plays to the level of their opponent
-Miami is legit, and will be an ACC title contender
-Houston got it together in 4th quarter against cinci, and if they play like that they will be dangerous

All things considered here are my leans for week 4:

FSU -6
GT +9.5
Virginia +4
Pitt +7
Florida +7.5
Auburn +3
Northwestern +7
Uofl -24.5
UCLA +2.5
Air Force -3

A few plays for this weekend, will have more throughout!

1u - GT +9.5: love the points here for the yellow jackets, also love the opportunity to prove themselves against an elite opponent at home. Clemson has shown weakness on offense in the first three games, and may find themselves in that position again saturday. GT has not played anybody close to the caliber of the tigers, which is probably the reason for amount of points they are currently getting. I think clemson will pull this one out by a TD. Dabo will have these guys ready to play in this environment, and you better believe they will rise to this challenge, i just believe the yellow jackets will additionally meet the energy, and keep the game close.

1u - FSU/USF O 61: Looking at the first three games for the bulls, they are explosive and well coached. This one may end up being a shootout until the 4th when jimbo will seal the deal and put his freshman QB in a position to win by a few scores. If you saw the seminols last week they struggled in all aspects, and that wont happen twice. USF is probably underrated, especially on offense and i think there will be plenty of scoring on both sides.

2u - Pitt +7:
North carolina has been an interesting program to follow in the recent years, but for some reason this year doesnt seem so special. Giving up 28 points at home to James Madison last game does not constitute a stellar defense, and Pitt should be able to take advantage. With a mere 7 point loss @ Oklahoma St in their last game, they are hungry to be back in the winners circle this saturday. I also love the fact that they have played with resilience in each of their games, and will not shy away from an opportunity to make some noise on the road this week. I think Pitt wins SU, but i will take the points as well.

2u - Northwestern +7: NW always plays a game every year where they are in the position to get blown out, where common sense says there is no way they have a shot, and then they beat somebody they shouldnt. What a prime example this week when the corn huskers roll into town. This will be the first road game for NEB, and they play a program with a history of pulling the upset. Northwestern is not impressive in any aspect, but i will say that they have 4 points between 1-2 and 3-0. This is the last home game in a month for NW and they have a shot to destroy nebraskas dreams this saturday. I think this one will be decided by a field goal either way.

Decided to lay off of florida, and FSU..weird lines if you ask me...anyways BOL! I should have a couple more before the weekend.

Caught a little time before work to look at games...adding a couple more:

2u - Troy/NMSU O 67.5:
New mexico state's defense is really really bad, they gave up 62 to UK (whos offense is sub-par at best), and 30+ in their other two games, when they were playing teams that arent as good as this weeks opponent. Troy pulled out an impressive victory over southern miss, putting up 37 points against a defense much more talented and well coached than new mexico states. They are back at home and have enough confidence to explode on offense. Looking for this game to be around 74.

1u - Texas State +34.5: Houston is coming off of a nice 4Q performance against cinci, and look to be competitive at all levels so far. I think that they will overlook this game, and let tx st hang around longer than they should, score some garbage and cover.. texas state went to arkansas last week, so they go to experience the physicality and size of a team like Houston, they come home for their version of the national championship and will be prepared to put up a fight early, and hold it within 34 points. In their first game they scored 56 @ Ohio so clearly they have the ability to move the football and eat up some clock. Houston will be able to run all over them, and should handily win this game by 24-25 points. I like this whole situation.

2u - LA tech +5.5:
What i like the most about this play, is the fact that Middle Tenn St has played MUCH worse teams than LA tech, who lost by 1 @ arkansas and 14 @ texas tech. I can imagine the determination to win this game from their end. They know that they are actually pretty competitive, and should be able to use their two losses to beat down MTSU on the road. LA tech will try their best to make a very bold statement, and will be playing good football. I think they are underrated based upon their first 3 games and arent getting enough credit for their losses. Yes a loss is a loss, but take the build up of energy in the lockerroom, a determined coach and an entire team with a chip on their shoulder and you may have a dangerous team

1u - Air Force -3: Although it was enough to cover the spread, utah st had a forgettable second half last week against arkansas st. Air force has played nobody, at all, in which most cases is a negative factor, but i actually like it here. Its like their 0-0 coming into their opener, especially after a bye last week. With 2 weeks to prepare, AF should have drawn up a gameplan to slow down ut st's QB and offense, now all they need to do is execute on defense and they are looking at a two score victory. Plus you can pull for our military service members for a game, which is always a good thing!
