Villanova -1 verse ucla....what am I missing?

Nova played in a tougher conference, beat better opponents, is playing 30 minutes from their home arena, and...IMHO...is more athletic than ucla.

Nova doesn't have any big boys down low, but either does ucla (Aboya is 6'8"....decent body, but not great length).

This early money has come in on ucla. What am I missing?

I like UCLA as well. I think when those final 5 mins hit they will be able to produce stops better on the defensive end of things. Nova can definitely win, but they gotta jump out the gates on UCLA and get up 10+ early.

Just because UCLA doesn't run up and down the court full speed doesn't mean they don't have any offence. Does anyone check out Kenpom ratings?? check out Adjusted offence rank. it is based on points per 100 possessions. UCLA is ranked number 3 behind UNC and Pitt. For the most part , teams that make the final 4 or win it all come from the top 4 rankings in this category. UCLA has some solid vets that have been to the final 4 before, I wouldn't sell them short here.

Love nova, they seemed to be the disrespected team out of the big east, they are full of shooters nd scorers, not dependant on any one or two guys, roll over the bruins.

Was tempted to make this a 5 unit wager but UCLA has fucked me a few times this season.. I really believe Nova is the correct play here and here is why...............

First off this game is being played at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia so this is a home game for Nova. UCLA didn't fare well away from Pauley this season..

This UCLA team is not as good as the previous years teams especially on defense and they are there not getting the benefit of staying on the west coast through the early rounds.

Doesn't hurt that Nova is from the superior conference..


Win or lose, I believe Nova is the right play.. even if Nova comes out flat and gets beat I believe this is the type of wager you will win 60% or more of the time..


Cunningham and Reynolds should have an easy going against UCLA.. GL

I've watched Nova play about 5 times this season, watched UCLA play about 25 times this season..

If UCLA wins they will lose the next game, no final four this season.. They played the early round games in the west coast last three years, not this year.
