Unless Michael Vick somehow turned into a real quarterback during his time in the joint, he's not a quick fix for any team. This is a guy who had a career quarterback back rating of around 75 BEFORE he did time. That rating puts him in the company of big names like Derek Anderson, Brooks Bollinger and David Carr. (You know, the "ABC" of star quarterbacks.)
Vick backers point to his ability to run as a quality that made him a good player, but over the last few seasons the NFL defense seemed to have caught up with the "mobile quarterbacks" that briefly gave them trouble in the first part of this decade. Dropback passers are again proving they are the type of player who consistently guides teams over all opponents, and Vick is much below average as a dropback passer.
