I haven't had a chance to take a real shot at it yet because I live 220 miles from Reno. The most important thing is that you have to play a massive amount of hands and, quite possibly, suffer some bad short-term losses while waiting for the long-term statistical probabilities to work in your favor. I HAVE noticed that when I do go to Reno that I do much better at it than I used to. Even if you can't make a living at it, the money you spend on these books will be well worth it.

With a bankroll of 4,405, you would have only a 10% chance of RISK OF RUIN.........and with a bankroll of 8,811 one would have only a 1% chance of RISK OF RUIN.

Well, figured as much based on what I've read of online vp vs. offline -- but I actually am net up. Guess I will continue in dilletante mode, because I seriously doubt I will ever have the sort of time it takes to grind out any real money in an offline mode (unless some operator installs a machine in my office for some goddamned reason.)

The two most NOTABLE games that have 100%+ payback are the full-pay versions of DUECES WILD and DOUBLE BONUS which have a payback of 100.72% and 100.17% respectively with perfect strategy.
The are many other variations that have 100%+ payback, but those would be considered the two most popular.

Depending on time of year, work obligations and personal proclivity I am in either Alabama, Florida (south east), California (Bay Area-ish), or at large abroad. Right now I am in Alabama, and the closest video poker of which I am aware is in Mississippi -- Biloxi is about a five-hour drive from here and I hit it from time to time, pick up a little money sometimes, leave a little sometimes. I've never really tried the vp down there -- just play blackjack, poker, and roulette.
