I'm on fire so far this NFL season (7-1 on posted picks) and I'm just starting to analyze this week's games. Just want to hear thoughts on this week's "best bets". Right now leaning Browns +6 on Thursday night vs Bengals along with Steelers -4 1/2 and Saints -4 1/2 for Sunday.

I see Browns game as close one that may be won by either team on a FG. I'm from Cleveland and I really have no idea which Browns team will actually show up this week.

Steelers are playing well and the Jets are not and the Saints at home against a SF team not playing the best make the most sense to me.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE NOT YET OFFICIAL PICKS. I pick my spots and play only lines where I feel there is an advantage. I welcome all thoughts on all sides. I think the best way to win is to pick and choose a select few games and attack those instead of trying to play the whole field or wager just to get down some action. If I don't like anything I may wager on none or play a whole slew of games. I've had many HUGE winners but will probably tone down the wager amounts this week and protect my profits some. Good luck to all!

Thanks TCG; I respect your picks and analysis!

I have been riding the Steelers train the last two weeks (including moneyline as an underdog vs Colts). It is a potential spot for a Steelers "let down" with Big Ben unlikely to outperform like the last 2 weeks. I still can't believe that my Brownies beat up this Steelers team not too long ago. Just goes to show that on any given day in the world of sports anything can happen. However this Jets team just seems awful to me and I don't want to overthink it. Still analyzing of course....

Have to agree the Jets are one pathetic team from top to bottom......heard on the Dan Patrick show that Rex Ryan will get fired at end of season & possibly get hired by the Falcons, lol.......

I hope you already bet Pitt if you like them. I think it will rise and was surprised to see it that low considering the play of both teams. I'm sure Pitt will be a popular play just because of the directions of both teams. Jets are done for the playoffs and Pitt still in a dogfight. The only way the Jets could win this one and that's if the syndicate got to the refs.

Very nice season going V.

Really like saints defense has gotten it together finally and they are on another level playing in the dome, pitt should continue to roll , I'm a browns fan and hate this matchup , Cleveland has no deep threat which really hurts them specially with the Cincy pass rush

Thanks for all the positive comments guys; I appreciate it! This streak won't last forever but I'm going with it for now. Unfortunately I have not put in any wagers yet and probably should have grabbed the Steelers minus 4 1/2 since it's now up to minus 6 at my book (sportsbook.ag). The Saints game has also moved as the line for me is minus 5 (but not much of a difference from minus 4 1/2).

Honestly I don't see as much value out there this week as the lines seem pretty sharp. Too many potential blowout games with 5 spreads over 7 points and I usually have a hard time backing either team in those instances.

I may even do some totals if I see anything of value spread wise.

That's the problem. It's one of those too good to be true scenarios that every square from the Atlantic to Pacific will be all over.
Some offshores and casinos have even tested the waters at -4!

All right guys...the play is in. I'm seeing/hearing a LOT of Bengals love, but I'm going against the grain and I'm taking the Cleveland Browns +6 1/2 tonight. I see this as a tough "grind it out" type of game that remains close at the end. I'm also liking that it will be one with rain and wind as that should give the Browns an edge. I know most will disagree but I see the Browns actually having a good day running the ball and I also predict that we will see Manziel on the field in some way shape or form.

I'm not that impressed with the Bengals and am looking for the same team to show up that layed a big egg against the Colts a few weeks ago. Cleveland may not win but I feel that 6 1/2 points is a gift in a divisional rivalry game. This is a SMALL wager (as opposed to my HUGE ones recently). Wagering small as I'm always leary of the Browns on the road as their results leave a lot to be desired. Good luck to all and remember to only wager what you can afford to lose!!!

RECAP: BROWNS +6 1/2 but for a SMALL WAGER. 7-1 Year to Date NFL record

Victory great season so far! I hope you stay hot bud. Food for thought for you here. I'm looking hard at Broncos game at -11. Seems square ya I know but.. The way I see it is Manning is coming off a loss and going into a game that he SHOULD win hands down. First, I don't know if I've ever seen Manning get beat by a winless team this far into season. Second, Denver in my opinion will not have much problem putting up 30 or more in this game. They outmatch the Raiders everywhere. That being said do you think that the Raiders can put up 20 or more on this Denver defense? I know they started to come alive last week but I personally think this Seattle team is overrated right now. They aren't playing near as well this year. I just don't see Manning having a sub par game against a sub par team that has no offense near capable of staying within two td's. Just my opinion though. GL with your plays

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! dbanana0-9 8-1 now year to date posted plays.

Manziel didn't make an appearance but was glad to see Browns have a running game and the Bengals lay an egg once again.

Still looking at Sunday's games and considering Steelers and Saints but not official plays just yet...

I thought Manziel may be used for a trick play somewhere in the game....no need though!
