My initial issue is why does the MVP have to square around just the QB? There are other players having strong years. Vick should be a front runner since it is based on the most valuable player. Honestly speaking, Brady, Brees, sure they are valuable but they are performing as expected. No one in their right mind expected this from Vick nor the Eagles. Without him, are they really in the same position as of now?

If I had a vote, he would be my 2nd choice. My first choice would be Rivers who practically has been gun slinging all season with basically no names besides Gates on that side of the ball & not much of a running game on most days. He is imo the best gun slinger in the league right now, reminds me of Marino in that sense.

"If there are 24 hours in a day," Vick said, "I shed 10 hours worth of tears."

If thats not scripted from some PR guy, I dont know what is.

Jim McIsaac/Getty Images Michael Vick has been sublime for the Eagles for most of 2010. He has provided a much-needed spark for the offense, and for much of the early part of the season, Vick was one of the NFL's best quarterbacks and had vaulted into MVP consideration.
However, the last four weeks, while solid, are not up to the standards Vick had set earlier in the year. In his last three contests, his completion percentage has dropped to the 60-65 percent range, and he's thrown four interceptions.
Vick is still one of the NFL's better quarterbacks, but the fact is, he missed three games earlier in the season, which hurts his chances significantly. When coupled with the performance of quarterbacks like Tom Brady in New England and Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, and the fact that the Eagles offense did show signs of productivity with Kevin Kolb running the show, Vick probably should get the short end of the MVP stick in 2010.
