If Obamacare survives you only have to look at the VA Hospitals and their health care system to see where Obamacare is headed. Why? Because of government bureaucracy. It is not the doctors or the nurses and it is damned sure not the patients faults that the system is not getting the job done. There is no excuse for cooking the books when it comes to caring for our veterans. And Obamacare will take up where the VA system leaves off and do it on a much larger scale. And the coverups that are going on with the bureaucrats at the VA is lock step with those at the WH (Benghazi), the IRS, et all. Big Governement hinges on healthcare, it is the first giant step in turning socialistic.

In 2009 Obama went on record saying that the VA backlogs must be reduced. That statement was just like all the other idle words that come from Obama. Did he follow up, nope just made a statement. Now even though he made that statement on a political level it is still a matter of record. Sure we have thrown more money at the problem but that just winds up as bonuses for bureaucrats at the VA, the same morons who cause the problems get rewarded. That is how Big Gov works.

This whole policy of how hard it is to fire federal employees has to be addressed as a separate issue. Bonuses at the IRS and VA alone show how ridiculous the priorities are for Big Gov. Even if they find fraud etc it is absurdly difficult to fire a federal employee. Hell employees at the IRS who owe federal taxes still qualify for bonuses.

Sure the VA Scandal is just. Obama acknowledged the problem back in 2009 and it existed before then. It is the culture of Big Gov plain and simple. We need to address the problems with the VA Hospitals but we also need to take it all the way around the bases. We need to do away with the country club culture that federal bureaucrats obviously have and we need to do the same with all branches of government. It would be so easy to go to a flat tax for instance. It is not only a better system but would reduce the number of IRS employees and reduce their power immensely. Big Gov is all about power but in the end they are always exposed because of incompetentcy and blatant manipulations of rules and regulations.

Do I blame Obama alone. No but he made a statement in 2009 and obviously never followed up on it. Is that the first time that has happened, hell no. All that hope and change was nothing more than a campaign slogan. Ask the patients (those who have not died due to long waiting lists) how they feel about hope and change. Hope and change for the bureaucrats is all about not getting caught. Like everything that transpires in this administration if it was not for outside sources the lame stream media would give this administration a pass. Because there are actually concerned people involved and because veterans are dying for all the wrong reasons the problems have surfaced. There is no denying the problem is the system and the bureaucrats who administer it. The same goes with the Obama administration. I hope they CHANGE this and I HOPE it is sooner than later. But that is just me.

“Nobody is more outraged about this problem right now” than the president, said White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough in a Friday interview

[h=2]It seems fair to suggest Barack Obama's chief of staff Dennis McDonough could have made some better word choices when discussing Obama's feelings regarding the ongoing Veteran's Administration scandal with Major Garrett.[/h]
DENIS McDONOUGH: ..the President is madder than hell, and I've got the scars to prove it given, briefings that I've given the President and the conversations that he and Rick and I have had on these matters...but at the same time that we're looking at accountability we want to continue to perform to provide our veterans the services that they have earned ....
Not only are many veterans permanently scared in ways perhaps McDonough and Obama can only imagine, others have now died as a result of this administration's incompetence.

^^^^^^Obama is madder than hell but this problem has been around and he addressed it in 2009. It is ok for him to get mad as hell at something so libtards need to understand why myself and many others get madder than hell at most everything Obama himself and his administration is responsible for that hurt this country. Incompetence rules with this administration. Obamacare's potential problems dwarf what is going on at the VA. It would be much worse for civilians and on a much larger scale. Why can't they authorize coupons so that veterans in severe or critical conditions can go other places other than VA hospitals.

What makes me madder than hell is the cadilac plans that Congress has. I am sick and tired of their elite benefits and those of federal employees. Exposing all the fraud at the VA is still not going to get those who need immediate treatment handled any better. Instead of being on a secret list they will be on the actual list. So what, still no treatment. No bonuses at the VA. Bonsuses should be put on hold for all governement branches until the financial crisis is under control (that means never). If Big Gov employees don't like the idea of no bonuses let them join the real world.

[h=2]On Thursday, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki told a Senate committee that he was “mad at hell” after hearing of allegations that the VA had been falsifying waiting lists for patients and that some 40 veterans had died as a result.[/h]White House press secretary Jay Carney quickly ran to the press to inform them that President Obama was “concerned and angry” over the allegations. White House chief of staff Denis McDonough went even further:
The fact of these deaths is an outrage to the president. He's made that clear. And you heard what General Shinseki had to say today. He's mad as hell about this. Nobody is more mad than the president. And I have the scars to show it, given his reaction to it as he and I have talked about it.
President Obama and members of his administration constantly express rage and anger over events totally within their control. It’s an odd and unsettling fact of American life that so many Americans seem to think that such expressions of frustration should substitute for actual competence.
Here, then, are the top five times that Obama officials have expressed outrage, sadness, and anger over actions within their purview:
Benghazi: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was tasked with ensuring the security of her staff across the world – and she failed miserably at that task, leaving Americans vulnerable to terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Four Americans were killed, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Just a few minutes before exclaiming that it made no difference why those Americans were killed, Hillary expressed her upset over the incident:
I stood next to President Obama as the Marines carried those flag-draped caskets off the plane at Andrews. I put my arms around the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters.
Then she convened a commission which did not interview her. We still don’t know where she was during the attacks, or why she didn’t greenlight security or request military intervention.
IRS: Upon learning of the IRS’ targeting of conservative non-profit applicants – apparently from the news reports of it – Obama expressed outrage, according to White House press secretary Jay Carney. “I mean,” Carney said, “nobody’s been more outraged by the reported conduct here than the president of the United States.” Obama then said, “It's inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it.” A few weeks later, Obama would call the IRS scandal “phony.”
Secret Service Prostitution: Upon finding out about allegations that Secret Service members obtained prostitutes in Colombia, Obama said, “Of course I’ll be angry.”
Fast and Furious: In October 2011, after revelations broke that Obama’s Justice Department had greenlit an operation to smuggle guns south of the border to Mexican drug cartels, supposedly in an attempt to track gun pipelines, Obama stated, “It’s very upsetting to me to think that somebody showed such bad judgment that they would allow something like that to happen. And we will find out who and what happened in this situation and make sure it gets corrected.”
Obamacare Launch Failure: When the Obamacare rollout imploded, White House press secretary Jay Carney explained that Obama was “not happy” with the rollout. He added, “The accountability the president seeks today is the accountability that comes from those who are working on implementation.”
So, when our top-level politicians claim to be supremely angry about their own departments and minions victimizing Americans, are we supposed to give a crap? They obviously don’t, which is why they think it’ll be good enough to simply express their outrage while continuing run roughshod over rights.

Of course, if Russ actually connected the dots, he'd know that Congress no longer has "Cadillac" plans, but in fact, must Purchase Plans on the Health care exchange under the ACA. But why let facts get in the way of his usual irrational rants. BENGHAZI!!! http://theweek.com/article/index/254747/for-the-last-time-congress-is-not-exempt-from-obamacare

"So yes, lawmakers and their staffs are being treated differently under the law." from the link Guessor posted. If anyone thinks members of Congress are put on waiting lists they live in la la land. Sure on paper the cadilac plan may not be the same on paper but in actuality members of Congress are moved to the front of the line and see the very best doctors. Anyone that does not comprehend that is out there. Cadilac or not it far exceeds what veterans have to deal with. This crosses party lines, one of the many messes that need to be cleaned up in DC.

[h=2]Congress Health Insurance Exchange Catch[/h]Although Congress will have to purchase their insurance through ObamaCare's health insurance exchange like millions of other Americans they can choose any plan they wish. So while a typical American may only be able to afford a basic plan members of Congress will be able to choose the most expensive plans and pay the 40% excise tax that comes on the backs of these plans.

Americans across the country have been forced into the Obamacare exchanges. They’ve lost the coverage they liked, they’ve seen their premiums skyrocket and they’re finding it hard to enroll in anything new. But what makes this even worse is that their representatives in Congress can’t completely relate. While all of this is going on outside of Washington, insiders in Congress and the administration carved out a special exemption and subsidy for themselves. They decreased their own Obamacare burden but didn’t do the same for their constituents.
A specific provision of the Obamacare law says that members of Congress and their staffs are required to get health care coverage on the Obamacare exchange, just like millions of other Americans. And just like the rest of America, they aren’t guaranteed any employer subsidy to help offset the cost of their exchange policies.
Or that would have been the case, if not for a decision by Washington insiders to protect their own. The Obama administration created an illegal administrative fix that allowed members of Congress to let most or all of their staffs forgo the exchanges. Those who did get policies through the exchanges are getting an employer subsidy, which is really a huge taxpayer-funded subsidy (about $5,000 for single workers or about $10,000 for a family) unavailable to all other Americans at their income levels.
Most folks would agree that this constitutes a special exemption exclusive to members of Congress, political appointees and congressional staff.
We had a chance to fix this. I introduced legislation before Obamacare went into effect last fall that would have eliminated Washington’s exemption from Obamacare and put Congress on the same playing field as their constituents. But Majority Leader Harry Reid and congressional leadership wouldn’t even put it up for a vote.
This is outrageous, and I won’t let it stand. I reintroduced that same legislation that will get rid of this exemption once and for all. Unsurprisingly, Reid and other Washington insiders are trying to block it, but they owe it to their constituents to be honest about this exemption. If they want to keep it, they should put it up to a public vote.
Reid has gone to enormous lengths to block a vote on my proposal. His newest trick is to threaten an important bipartisan proposal — the Keystone XL pipeline — to intimidate senators from supporting this legislation. Reid is trying to use Keystone as an excuse not to vote on my “no exemption” amendment, and he’s using my “no exemption” amendment as an excuse not to vote on Keystone. It’s cowardly actually.
But Americans didn’t elect their senators to be intimidated by Harry Reid. They elected us to lead and to make important decisions, even if they are tough. Americans elected us to represent them, not rule over them, and certainly not to give ourselves special privileges like an exemption from Obamacare. Members of Congress who realize this will support being treated the same as the constituents they represent.
Sen. David Vitter is a Republican from Louisiana.

Notice how outraged forum "moderate" guesser is about the Obama Administration's treatment of Veterans.

Ace LYING again. I have posted several times how outraged I have been at the treatment of the Vets, and the delays for them to get medical care under the VA. But it is what Ace is, and what he does, LIE continuously, shamelessly. How many times did Frazier Glen Miller run as a Dem, LIAR? What party is Donald Sterling in, LIAR?
