playing the monster carryover- here are some live plays:

r2: ashoka. this one is getting better by the day for frankel. i think strength within may be the one to beat for glen hill farm and proctor, who have unleashed some high price winners in past year at del mar. ashoka is coming off a hard fought win, but the price should be right with the hot riding alex solis.

r4: here me out. love that lion is probably the one to beat, but question marks abound in this ultra-competitive 16k claimer. here me out has been freshed for mark glatt and while winless at dmr, i expect a good trip behind a hot pace.

r5: rush into heaven. love the drop here, albeit to this is very high priced claiming race. gate to wire on the drop.

r7: blowing bartok. this daughter of bartok made a huge move but got run down by a godolphin monstress, tizdubai (1/2 to budroyale and tiznow). should go better here in this cal bred stake, which is really just a non-winners of 1 other than.

i guess i would tell you that it depends on price. wesley ward is lethal with first time starters and mr. greeley is above average with his debut runners. i think the experience for rush into heaven will make him very tough.

i have to get this off my chest. i think that was a horrendous call by the del mar stewards. ruiz did everything right to hold the horse straight and there was some contact, but unclear as to who initiated the contact. what joke.
