the way Detroit plays at home (31-16) against Balt's road record (16-34), and Verlander being 4-0 1.85ERA lifetime against Balt looks good. but -300 is a lot to put down. would be nice for a small parlay with Kershaw at -200.

While obviously it doesn't always work out, I actually feel much better about a play when a great pitcher is laying this much. Makes me feel like Vegas is trying to bait ppl into taking the other side by making the odds so attractive. No science behind this thinking, just opinion.

Both the Rays and St. Louis were -310 yesterday....and they didnt even have so called studs on the mound....of course, both lost......300 is a lot to lay...but Verlander is a stud...especially at home...look at those numbers....basically laying 300....your going to win 3 out of 4....its a high line....me personally I love high lines....I think they win a lot more often then not...its just tough when they do lose....I'll lay 3 dimes to win 1.......I sure as hell couldnt bet 1 dime and win on the Orioles...watch them lose 5-1 and think to myself...wtf was I thinking? Whatever...if you think its too big...dont play it...its JUST a line....999 times out of 1000 the line is correct...if your thinking is the line right...that means its EXACTLY right...if your a true capper...dont look at the lines...cap the game yourself...look at the pitching matchups...come up with your own line...then look at the real line...see if your getting value.....If you think Verlander should be only -200 tonight...jump on the Orioles...your getting tremendous value...

Detroit bats have struggled. Detroit probably wins, but I wouldn't wager that line and I hate run lines.
