I got song on a parlay and vera definitely got robbed. Wasn't even a split win but unanimous. Wow!!.
yup... if it was split decision it'll be at least a little bit believable. unanimous decision loss doesn't sit well with me. Just wanted peoples' opinion to make sure im not the only one thinking that lol.
It wasn't a robbery but was a close decision. I was on Song. I had him winning 1 and Chito winning 3. 2 was damn close.
Barboza losing was the robbery.
Gave Vera a slight edge. No robbery though
Barboza first round probably 10-8 Second was a toss up. Round 3 Inge 10-9
The first round wasn't a 10-8, it didn't even meet the criteria to even consider it...
Should have been a draw or a Barboza win. There was more of a significant edge for Barboza in round 1 than Inge combined round 2 and 3.'Make it easier and judge the fight as a whole. Sometimes judges are on the fence for whether it is 10-8 or 10-9
Definitely shouldn't have been a draw, as stated, it didn't come close to the criteria. Scoring the fight as a whole wouldn't work, and it wouldn't have worked in this situation, either. The criteria puts on the fence to begin with for a 10-8. It states about the 3 Ds (damage, dominance, and duration), that if 2-3 occur, you must consider a 10-8 (meaning you can still give one), but -f all 3 occur, you for sure give one, and must consider a 10-7 (I only know of 2 of these ever), but we were highly encouraged starting last year to give more 10-8s, and I personally toook it to heart...
Still not a robbery but a draw at worse for Barboza I think
Robbery is a very overused termin MMA
Robbery is definitely an overused term in MMA, and there were Zero robberies last night. Suspect decisions and arguable decisions, for sure...
Honestly I know there is weird language about how you are suppose to score a fight but damage is all I care about unless it is even and then I will consider aggression. Little wiggle room with grappling I suppose
The fight in the first was relatively even except the knock down. If you can't give a 10-8 for than I don't know. I mean you get a even round and force a 10-9 but can't give a 10-8 there with the knockdown off a hard elbow and overhand. That is why I like to score the whole fight I have seen 10-8 given with less and just grappling control. I don't know JMO. It isn't fair to have a basically even round where you basically have to pick someone and then one when it is very clear and have to count them even. Makes no sense to me
Your “little wiggle room for grappling” and “just grappling Control” is where it clearly shows you don’t understand the criteria to judge a fight...I’m seriously not trying to be harsh, just saying...
“The fight in the First was relatively even except for the knockdown” is an argument for a 10-9, actually, not a 10-8...
