Been very busy this season and didn't have much time to post. Had two solid post seasons in a row here. Will try to contribute by posting regularly.

Eastern Kentucky Colonels +3.5

Morehead State is 11-1 at home this season and 12-6 in OVC. That is great and I agree that they've had a very good season. Their 2nd closest home win this season came against EKY and honestly, EKY didn't even play good basketball at that time. That was EKY's 4th road game in a row with Austin Peay next. In two games prior to the game at MHSU, Eastern Kentucky had won by 3 at Chicago State and at SEMO State. Those two wins were as bad as some losses. In the 2nd meeting MHSU was red hot going in, winning 6 of 7, 9 of 11 and 13 of 16 and stil lost by 4 at EKY.

These two teams match up pretty well against each other and that's why this should be another close game. MHST is a better shooting team and EKY is a better ball handling team. But there is one major difference between these two tems that should help EKY prevailing in the end.

EKY is much deeper than MHSU. They are getting significant minutes from 8-10 players night in and night out and that is the main reason why they are 11-5 in their last 16 games, including a road overtime loss at OVC 2nd best Murray State in their seasons' finale. MHSU depends (a lot) on their starters and that's why they lost their final 4 games of the season. Their problems actually started in their close win over short handed SEMO. Since then, their defense has been very vulnerable with 75 points allowed per game and they had 30 more turnovers than their opponents in 4 games. It is highly unlikely that those stats will change considerably against EKY. EKY scored 69 ppg in two games against MHSU this season (51 ppg last season) and in two meetings this season EKY had 13 turnovers and MHSU had 29. EKY is just not turning the ball over. In their last two games (2 losses) they had 10.5 turnovers per game and in last 6 games their defense allowed 62.5 regulation ppg.

Morehead State covered all 4 meetings since last season, yet they are only -3.5 at home where they won 11 of 12 games this season. In last two seasons they lost in the first round of OVC Championships. EKY's two leaders Taylor and Rose were on that EKY team that went to the March Madness two years ago. These two guys have a lot to prove after being invisible in the first round loss last season.

Glad to see you back. Always have great angles. GL-

Thanks man. Doing my best to help. As a huge basketball fan I love this time of the year. Conference tourneys, March Madness, late season and playoffs in the NBA - it doesn't get any better than that, except for the Football season. And baseball's just around the corner.

Some informations that I found for this game:

Since 1997, when OVC expanded its tournament to eight teams, #4 seed won 6 times in regulation, 3 times in overtime and lost 3 times to the #5 seed. Eastern Kentucky is 6-2 all time in the OVC tournament against Morehead State. Eastern Kentuky won this tournament twice in last 4 years.

The line is at -3 right now.

Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing but the line is -3 across the board now. My brother (local bookie) has 69% of $ on Morehead State. Consensus sites have something like 60-65% on Morehead State. Any opinions on this game guys ? Am I the only one here betting on this game ?

Valparaiso +10.5 -120 *1.5

Golden rule #1 for Wright State games: Bet against them when favored late in the season. They are 3-10-1 ATS in this situation since last year.
Golden rule #2 for Wright State games: Bet against them at home. They are 6-15-1 ATS in last 22 in Nutter Center.

Valparaiso started the 2008/2009 season 6-10 ATS and they are 6-3 ATS since then. They are playing much better lately. In their first game against Wright State they were down by 9 in the first half and ended losing that game by 16. In the second game (on the road) they actually led at the halftime. They have wins over Youngstown State, Akron and Loyola Chicago in last 6 games and they were only 3-14 in previous 17 games. Just a few days ago they lost by only 7 against red hot Cleveland State (lost the 1st meeting by 24), by 7 against red hot Illinois Chicago (lost the first meeting by 25) and by only 8 against Butler on the road (lost at home by 13 earlier). This is a much improved team lately.

Non post season plays (1* each): Kansas State +5.5, Aub/Ala under 146
