not true. those sites are actually cheaper for good hotels (Mandalay, Hard Rock, etc.) if you don't get casino rates, free rooms or if you don't have a host. I don't know about the dumps. However, you are stuck with the rate you get from one of the sites and can't play it down through gambling. if you gamble a lot and are likely to get your room comped or rate reduced then don't use expedia or another travel site, but if you aren't, check there, call the hotel and book whichever is cheaper. Call the hotel you want, ask for a host and tell him you are a big swinging dick gambler who usually stays somewhere else but has heard great things about their place and ask for a discounted rate. Often times they will give it to you.
Spearmint Rhino is a better place to party than it is a stripclub. Club Paradise has solid chicks and from what I understand there is a new place, starts with S that is massive and good. Don't recall the name though.
Clubs = depends what you like. lots of house music, pretty people and ecstasy = Body English, Pure, Ice. Mix between club/loungy = Light in Bellagio. more cheese mega club = Rain (Palms), Rah (which I think blows). Major cheese = Club Rio, Voodoo Lounge, Rum Jungle. Loungy places = Ghost Bar, Foundation Room, Forty Deuce and I forget the others. There is also a playboy club open in the new Palms tower, no idea how it is.
Pure is probably the best of the bunch right now.
