Vegas Question

Going tomorrow for the first time. I can bet futures and other things and then mail them in to get paid, right? What is the time frame for collecting for these bets. Thanks.

Check the back of your ticket. Some are a year, some 90 days, I think there might even be a 60 day limit out there.

make sure when you send them back you send them registerd mail you can save yourself a big headache, a casino I worked at we had someone in the mailroom that stole some mailpays and had a friend cash them

Do you know that UNCLAIMED winning tickets account for half of 1% of a normal sportsbooks hold percentage?

For one thing, MANY tourists do not realize that a tie and a LOSS on a teaser is a REFUND.

The only thing that eclipses that is those tough beats when you hit the lottery for 10 mil and lost the ticket. Sadly enough it has happened more than once.

The time limits on futures range from 30 days to 1 year. I could never figure out why they all didn't give you the year as that means they get to keep the money that much longer.
One Book Manager tried to explain to me something about accounting or some crap but was unconvincing. Definitely ask before you play if you are not a frequent visitor as the registered mail procedure is just an extra vig on a winner.
