Vegas Here We Come

Leaving tomorrow for Vegas and will be there till Sunday. Staying at the Bellagio and hopefully will make some money at the tables. Strictly poker and blackjack and the occassional foray into college hoops where I will lose. What kind of cash should I bring?

If you get a chance come over to the IP Poker Room and ask for the poker manager or green doberman. We have a pretty good midnight tournament on Wed. night/Thurs. morning if you want to check it out.

Soudns great. What's the buy in for the Midnight tourney? I'm not big on rebuys and that but I'll come over. You work often? How close is IP to Bellagio?

5 min. walk. We do have multiple rebuys Wed. Midnight only. All other tournaments are limited to one rebuy in first hour, so everyone has an even playing field.

I manage the room and am there for several shifts. If nothing else, stop by and tell them Vaulted Treehouse said hi to Green Doberman so the supervisors and cashiers can give you a look like your crazy and then come to me with a puzzled look and question.

I'm usually off on Fri. and Sat. but stop by to check up on things and do paperwork.

GD, I was just out there for 2 weeks right around the SB time. I played in a couple of the IP tournies. Wish i would have known, I would have said Hi. I'll be back out there for about 8 days or so, at the end of March. Family and friends coming out for the Cubs vs Mariners spring training games. Staying next door to you guys at the Harrahs. You know of any hook ups for tickets ?


I'll make sure to stop in and say hello.

GD, I was just out there for the SB with friends and the girls. I didn't plan on going again until the 2nd weekend in August ...which so happens to be during the RX bash. Then another friend wanted to go 3-5 to 3-8 and offered to pay my air and hotel, so I will try and drop by sometime. 2 others are coming and we are looked to play as much poker as possible. What do you have on Sat, Sun, and Mon ? (staying at the Rio)

Bellagio has 8/16 and 15/30. Mirage has 10/20 but you'll likely find a better game at the Bellagio. Last time I went lists were horrendous but if you're staying there you can give them $10 or $20 to hold your seat and have them phone your room. If you're playing 15/30 you might tip them $5 when they bring your chips for their courtesy (if you're feeling generous). Good luck.

hook up with a host when you get there and explain your situation. If you are a player they will accomodate you it at all possible.

Outside of New Year's Eve, that's one of the hardest nights to get a room because of March Madness.

I will be on vacation at that time, but am willing to point you in the right direction if you have any questions.

hey GD, i was just at IP about a week ago playing in your n/l game shorthanded until 8 am or so. are you the youger looking guy with the glasses? btw, what's up with that one female dealer - she likes to take her time...lol.

The female was the cashier who was training and dealing a few relief because we were short handed. She needs some work but will get there.
