Don't have Houston in the video but its also one of my plays. Here's the write-up:

Houston -13.0: Last week, SMU showed us why Tulsa was a trap game by exposing Tulsa's terrible defense and moving the ball at will. Houston's defense is not this bad; and while their offense may not be AS explosive, it is certainly close. Houston averages over 400 yards passing per game and should have no trouble at all moving the ball on a very bad SMU passing defense. This spread is off due to the fact that the public now has a new-found respect for SMU after keeping it so close on Tulsa; Houston should be giving up more than 13 points, and at this spread they are a very good bet to win this game by two touchdowns.

Good luck! :toast:

I agree with your analysis, but i'm not laying this much wood behind a Houston team with a history of choking against teams they should pound on paper.

Can't blame you ND... I may regret not leaving them off after I forgot to mention them on the video. If they play like they did in the first half of the UAB game, they may not get away with it here. I just think SMU is getting waaaay too much credit here.

Yeah, it would. But I want to get into sports broadcasting someday (pipe dream, I know) and I like to try and stay versatile... so I do NFL write-up style, college video style, and some things podcast.

Plus, if I do write-ups, they are only seen on gambling forums. YouTube gets them out to a lot more people that search for college picks.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Here they are;

Hawaii +24.5 over @Boise State
@Georgia -15.0 over Vanderbilt
@Rice -3.0 over Southern Mississippi
Ohio State -3.0 over @ Michigan State
@Northern Illinois -7.5 over Toledo
@Penn State -23.0 over Michigan
North Texas +18.5 over @UL Monroe
Idaho +20.5 over @Louisiana Tech
V Tech +2.5 over @Boston College
Houston -12.5 over @SMU

GL Dave....I circled Idaho/LTech early in the week, but after looking at it in more depth, I think this is LouTech or nothing......this will be Idaho's 4th road game in 5 weeks and the trip from Moscow to Rushton is a very long one...Idaho coming off a very physcial game against Fresno and, by all accounts, what looks like a good performance...after losing to Hawaii the week before, I have to feel that Fresno was completely demoralized, as they had very high hopes starting the year....Idaho also giving up 500+ yards a game against D-1 programs (600+ to SDSU and nearly 600 to Utah State...teams that are worse than LouTech)....if you happen to see the boise/lou tech game, you know LouTech can move the ball (450 yards of offense) and that was against a VERY GOOD boise defense.....one final kicker for me is that this game opened at 17.5 and was promptly moved to 20.5....which tells me that there was plenty of early sharp money jumping on LouTech.....I think Idaho gets steamrolled here....just my 2 cents, and I do wish you luck (unless I jump on LouTech of course)......

Do like your stuff a lot...keep em coming.......:toast:

To be honest, so am I. But people search for EVERYTHING on youtube. Remember there are also all of the Brandon Langs and other touts on youtube, so people looking for picks make the logical jump to search for them. I thought it was pretty innovative last year when I started doing this but turns out there were hundreds of others.

Thanks for the write-up/insight!

One thing you know you are going to get from Idaho is a miserable performance on defense. But Louisiana Tech's offense isn't that powerful... You may have misread in the Boise game, Boise State had over 450 yards, La Tech had 320 (http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=282750068).

Still, I don't doubt that La Tech will find the endzone against this awful defense. But consider how bad La Tech's passing defense is; even if you give them a pass for Kansas (412 yards passing against) and Boise (332), I'm still having an awful hard time giving them a pass for Mississippi State (257 yards passing from a team that averages around 175) and DIVISION 2 Southeastern Louisville dropping 377 passing yards on them.

I don't see Idaho having too much trouble getting to 21 points. That puts the pressure on a team that is averaging 16 points a game (9.75 points a game against Division 1 opponents) to find the endzone 6 times. I'll take my chances on that.

Good luck if you decide to play it though! (And I don't mean that in a condescending way, I really mean it :103631605)

True enough Dave, thanks for the heads up... I'm at 2-0 myself heading into the weekend with your pick of UH being a winner and a pick of NCST that I seen elsewhere being a winner...looking pretty good so far. Appreciate the picks my man.

Ugly as hell, but a wins a win!

1 - 0 heading into the weekend!
