Put this argument to rest for this year. I would be stunned if they get this deal done by August. The owner has no gaming license, neither do any of his C-level staff. If it were a regular deal, casino company buying a casino, it might take 6 months to get signed off. Having a company with no licenses, might take a full year to become a completed reality.

Also note, he has no staff for this. He has no casino mavens working for him. He might pick up a guy or two, but he can't make wholesale changes because he doesn't have the people to do it.

Bill is right, but even if something for some unfroseen reason makes the Nuggett unavailable there are plenty of spots that would be glad to have us.

Bill,

Poster and Breitling had zero experience as well and their licensing was rushed through. Landry's has a relative of the Fertitta's running the company and we all know that name alone is worth a lot more than money can buy. (Well, actually it is the money that they buy with that name).

Shrink and Dante both know we have an alternate site in place, ready and willing if the Nugget drops the ball.

They can email me anytime if they have any concerns.:103631605

GD it is not applicable here. This is a publicly traded company so family connections mean little. When a public company wants to become gaming enabled in Nevada it takes some time to get through the process, much of it giving large shareholders time to divest if they don't want the Nevada scrutiny. Also lots of staff that have nothing to do with the casinos will still have to be checked. Its so damn messy in Nevada to do these things, but the price we pay for our past.

Poster Financial Group was a company created for the assets with two main shareholder and a lot of gaming executives at the GN as the principals. That was a slam dunk, except the Poster boys kept getting told don't associate with these strip club people. This Fertitta doesn't have that to worry about, but I doubt he will get speedy licensing considering how big his business is already.

good stuff Bill, you're the financial guru and your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I still think the Fertitta name will open a lot of doors it otherwise wouldn't have.

I visit the Golden Nugget at least once a week and the place is always hopping ! I love their Sports Book and certainly hope it doesn't change as they have great futures bets there.
