RICHMOND, Va., Oct 2 (Reuters) - A possible armed person is on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond, the school said on Friday in an alert message on its website.
People were advised to avoid the area and police were on the scene, the alert message said. The alert comes a day after a gunman shot and killed nine people at an Oregon community college.

All these university shootings are crazy......I'm reaching here by wondering if the video game generation has anything to do with it.
Kids past 15 years have been growing up with violent video game that shoot & kill & are very violent with extreme graphics..
Are these kids being programmed somehow?
Not saying every kid that plays these games will kill, not even 2% of them will kill.
But how many of these kids growing up will be violent towards others because of the violence on TV & video games.
I'm pretty sure these people that end up shooting others have some kind of mental problem growing up because of bad parenting, been abused, whatever......somethingthere that comes out because something triggered it.
No wonder science is working with the govt at trying to prevent these attacks by setting up programs that show that certain people will commit a crime before its even done.
Yes, in the future, probably 30 years from now, you may be fined or jailed for thinking about commiting a crime.......crazy world we live in.
