Not a good day on the ice yesterday but the Gridiron and hardwood were hot.

One of the benefits of living on the west coast is you get to track all the games. Vancouver is probably a huge anomoly back east to bettors. They probably look at the flyers 8 game winning streak and expect another W here. When Philly came west earlier this year they got killed by the Canucks it ended up costing Hackstol his job as the team was reeling. Vancouver is young fast team and they are sniffing around the PO bar again currently over that bar. The keys have been down the middle strength, excellent goal tending and a fantastic penalty kill. The achilles heel for this team is the defensive pairing of Gubrandson and Pouliot - last game super rookie Pettersson was always on the ice to bail this duo out his defensive skills, ability to retrieve the puck and clear the zone are amazing not just for a Rookie but for a 10 year Veteran.

I think Vancouver maintains the momentum they established on Saturday night and take out the flyers tonight in regulation.

Here's a quick over view of the Canucks, they are in a tough stretch of 14 games in 27 days - hardly any practice time, PP has gone in the toilet (if I see one more back pass &*%54FT@), 2 top 4 defense injured, back up goalie injured, 3rd line centre out, and 1 top 6 forward down.

Team looked tired in Anaheim last night, The Ducks seem to win the puck battles and were blocking shots at a 2-1 rate I think we fire off over 70SOG, Anaheim goalie stood on his head. Good to see the team did stand up to Anaheim who were taking some liberties on our younger players .
