Saw this movie last night with my family. Excellent movie so disregard are all the negative reviews. My only complaint is the same as the movies critics, Cruise doesn't have a German accent. His role could have been all time great if he did, and i'm not really sure why they didn't give it a shot, but still it was an excellent movie. Anyone who is a historian should enjoy this one.

my girlfriend and I went yesterday

I liked it thought it was interesting and cruise did a decent job

much better than the reviews stated

my girlfriend though didnt like how it worked out and the ending violence and the lady next to me was crying

so a feel good movie its not - but for someone like me who likes war stories I enjoyed it.

interesting I had crossed it off my list...Ill put it back on

yes you should definitely put it back on your list. No way were the bad reviews warranted. I think their main complaint was that Tom Cruise over powered the role by not having a German accent. Although I agree that it would have been even that much better if he did add an accent, but that shouldn't stop people from going to see this. Many of the other characters, including Hitler, all had German accents. Also, there were times in the movie where my hands actually got sweaty b/c of the suspense. If you have any German background I would call this movie a "must see".

Did anyone see Benjamin Button? This is another movie that I really am looking forward to seeing. My friend, who is an actor living out in L.A., and is part of the actors screen guild said it was one of the best movies he has ever seen, and he knows what he is talking about.

I definatly want to see this. That was an amazing opening day for movies there are probably like five I want to see. I can't remember that ever happening before.

'Benjamin Button', 'Marley and Me' and 'The Spirit'. And one other I can't think of right now.

that's weird how did my posts get ahead of trytrytry and rob funk?
It's a temporary software glitch.

I think all of us have the same issue. The techs are aware of it, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I thought it was terrible. Never got drawn into the movie, little to no mention of the reasons behind what they were doing, and Cruise's acting is horrific. Second to worst movie I've seen this year.

These movies just show that people love monsters like Hitler and Saddam. Saddam has his own HBO series called House of Saddam and many documentaries about him on discovery and nat geo channels. Some lunatic will watch all these shows and want to become Hitler or Saddam and it'll all happen again.

I've never seen it, but I just read a review of "The Wrestler" where it was given 4 out of 4 stars and the critic said it was the best movie of the year... Never really even heard much about this one

Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors. Requiem for a Dream is one of my all-time favorite movies.

Good point. We should stop teaching history. Problem solved!

If You Think Seeing "Marisa Tomei Naked"

:ohno:give it 8 inches out of 8 inches ... marisa tomei is naked ... that is all you need to know...[/quote]

Makes this or ANY movie a keeper is all I need to know re. your taste in women. That alone would stop me from seeing it, after eating. The one I can't wait for is "El Torino". :nono5:

I think you are referring to Clint's new movie: "Gran Torino"
