My question is do they have a sportsbook? If yes, what was your experience with this sportsbook and the minimum requirements?

Yes I was just there last month and the book is nice. I'd guess the limits will be ok'ish, but then again you can also call and ask.

If you are loaded, might I suggest you stay next store at the Ocean Club which is 1000x nicer.

Funny you ask - wrote this as a review on another site and I am going back April 1.:

Just went to Atlantis for the weekend and I must say I was very impressed. The rooms where I stayed (the new Royal Towers) are about 400 a night but you can get comps if you gamble. They were actually pretty generous with their comps.

Here are the details:

Flew in to Nassau from Orlando on American - was a twin turboprop about 50 passengers - $$180 Round trip.

The room I had was in the Royal Towers - the newest section. There is another section that is connected that is called the Coral Towers and I think you can get a room there for about 200 a night. The best move might be getting a room at the sheraton next door and using atlantis facilities for free if you are on a budget.

The sportsbook is tucked away on the right coming from the coral towers - it is quite interesting. Their limit was 2k on college bball games but they let me put 3k on 1 game just for asking. No totals on college - pretty generic - but the lines stayed the same as the opening lines until gametime. For instance, the Duke UNC line stayed at 9.5 all day until tipoff (i think it went way down in the real world).

Another funny story - I couldnt see anybody in charge or any kind of linesmaker there. The betting windows were worked by women who had no idea who teams even were to the point where you couldnt say "tar heels" you had to give her the number of the team. They must control the lines and manage it from somewhere other than the book. The Colorado State / NM game started at 5 est but they had it as a 9pm start. I had the final at about 7 and pounded CSU as a 2 point fav. I bet 2k on it 5 times. I never really try to screw a book by past posting but this is Atlantis - they wouldnt even notice it. I came back at 11pm to collect and just as I was there they posted the final - and then flashed up NA next to the game. Apparantly I wasnt the only one with this idea as there were about 20 people there who all mysteriously were on CSU. Anyway - the bet was cancelled and got no argument from me - but I imagine this could happen there very easily.

They have a food plan for 57 a person per day - which might sound like a lot but it is really a great deal. You get your choice of on site restaurants for Bfast and Dinner. The food is fantastic and worth every penny.

As weapon says - the pools are indescribable. I got an innertube and rode the "lazy river" around the property with a frozen drink in my hand for about 5hrs. Every half hour you make a roundtrip past the bar and the bartender had mine waiting for me so I didnt even have to get off the tube!! It was rediculous.

For those interested in the comp situation - I played mostly craps with a base of 50 on the pass line and about 200 behind the line with some 6's and 8's mixed in for about 4 hrs a day. They picked up my room and food - and said next time they would pick up gourmet food and a suite!! That is so cool that I am already looking to go back - maybe for march madness!! From what I am used to that is fairly nice compared to say Caesars in Vegas. They also picked me up and dropped me off at the airport (about 30 min drive) in a limo which was a nice perk.

Oh and the ass. I was with my wife so I am in the same club as most of you - but the late night craps games actually had timeouts so that all of us could look at the "action" passing by. REDICULOUS. Snoop doggg and the girls gone wild crew were on the beaches during the day so these college chicks were indeed going wild. It is worth it just to go and look.

ANYBODY FOR MARCH MADNESS AT ATLANTIS???

First off - for those who are single - there are millions of HOT YOUNG BABES everywhere. I mean everywhere wearing almost nothing. It was spring break so there were even more. If you cant get laid here you cant get laid anywhere. So many drunk 18-21 yr olds it was insane.

The pools and water activities are awesome. I cant describe how many pools and waterslides and beaches there are - all with amazing scenery and wildlife like fish and dolphins. It was really impressive - and you cant gamble 24/7 so you need an alternative to the tables.

The tables were the same as anywhere else except fairly expensive limits - such as the smallest BJ table you could find on the weekend was 25 a hand. And they have a sportsbook! It is regular sized and you can watch games so that was fun.

Food is very expensive - the buffet for dinner was 48 bucks per person and a coke is 4 bucks anywhere you get it.

All in all a great resort if you have the dough and even better if you are willing to gamble and get comps. The whole thing was free for me so I will be back for sure.

i very rarely get on here and bitch, but this is really different than most up scale casino's you will vist. i had a $3000 a hand average and couldnt get a pack of smokes comp. Jimmy V does run a nice book but IMO the Crystal Palace is much better and treat you alot better hope this helps. There are no deals there and the beach is a lot better at the CP

It's nice to know that you only try to steal when you think you won't get caught.

Kookoo - i really dont understand you not getting comped for 3k a hand??? You have to be kidding me.

I will be staying in a royal 2 br suite with butler service and full gourment picked up for me, my wife, child, and in laws, and a limo at my disposal. I play about 700 on a craps table at a time. They were very nice and invited me without asking.

Rogerthedoger - keep your morality to yourself. Im sure if you saw a 10k chip on the floor you would return it to the cage and let them know you found it. Please.

Scarab - the sportsbook is not the best and certainly not like offshore options - but I would equate it to a midlevel vegas book. Safe, not many props, basic bets but at least you can bet in person.

I am going back next week so will report back if there are any issues.
