Vacation Advice

I am on vacation for the week at the beach and there is 1 main bar here that all of my friends and I went to all last year and is the best place to go in the area. We went tonight and the bouncers would not let me in because they did not believe it was me on my drivers license. My ID has a photo of me with a Mohawk that I no longer have and had my height about 4 inches shorter as it never updated when I renewed it. I showed the bouncer another photo ID and numerous credit cards all with my name but he still would not let me in. All my friends would like to go to this bar going forward but I could see this dbag being there again. My brother wants me to go buy a new ID but this doesn't expire until 2015 and I just can't get a new id for some moronic bouncer.

What do you guys suggest I do? Possibly go talk to some kind of manager at the bar during the day tomorrow? I am only on vacation once a year and we all want to go this place so if you are going to suggest going somewhere else - don't waste your time and just ignore the post please. I have had this ID since I turned 21 in 2010 and it has never once been denied.

I honestly couldn't figure out why they wouldn't listen to me as I was only respectful and asked what I could do to prove it was me. The bouncer asked for a passport or a new id...but like I said - I won't get a new id for some bouncer on a power trip

It is a great answer but it's just not plausible at this point.

I say don't go mohawk...just chance it again....good chance it will be a diff bouncer or if the same one he won't remember you.

You've already got the best idea. Go during the day when they're not busy and don't have any douchebag bouncers. Explain your situation to a manager, see what he can do for you. I guarantee you'll be fine.

If it doesn't work, or you still have problems next time at night, offer to call the police for them. Ask that they get the police there to help identify you. Not sure where you are but that might be a help. Even if the manager doesn't believe you either, politely offer to verify your identity to the cops.

Side note, you really grew 4 inches after the age of 21? I stopped growing at 17.

Im 24 and couldn't get in. The guy believed it was a real id but just kept saying he didn't think it was me. I just had a Mohawk for about a month in college but it coincided with when I got my ID. Never before had it not been accepted

Seriously, you should be able to go in during the daytime and speak to a manager like someone mentioned. I can't imagine them not letting you come in. If they say no just torch the fucking place before you leave.
