Definitely need either an extra game of #1 vs #2 after bowls, or a final three games after the bowls, with the final 8 playing New Year's day games for following semifinal berths, then a championship game.
The last three seasons, the BCS champ was an 5 loss team the prior season, as OU, OSU, and LSU all came off 8-5 years, now Auburn just may fit that bill, but starting #18 in the preseason, vs #1-#2 for USC and OU may too big an hill for them to overcome, as bias and perception based on three-year runs by USC and OU give them an huge edge in national perception due to consistency..which from season-to-season(especially in the SEC) doesn't always reflect the truth.
Utah would definitely move the ball on the big boys..now would their D hold enough?..they definitely would need shootouts to beat a heavyweight.
