In the UK the Royal Mail is a fooking joke now.
We used to get 2 deliveries by 11am.

Now we get one delivery between 1pm and 3pm.

In the UK all our car companies are gone, yours for example, are in their death throes, and our postal service is a shadow of what it used to be, yours is just starting to feel the knife.

The main thrust tends to be reducing the overall number of jobs, especially those ones with good pensions.

We're about 20 years ahead of you guys on this stuff, America still has a LOT of protectionism.

I still get at least 8-10 Capital One CC applications/month and my wife the same. You would think they'd go out of business with the printing costs alone.

Amex has slowed their mailers but still get Citi in addition to the many Capital ONe's

the #3 carrier, DHL, just announced it will suspend all domestic service beginning in 2009 to become an international carrier only. That'll knock out 10k jobs

i got gobs of absentee request forms as well as mailings looking for money from mccain since i was on their list as i was a delegate this year for the ron paul stuff

I'm surprised it took this long. USPS is a gov't pig that's been run like shit for years.

UPS & Fedex on the other hand run tight, tight ships. It's about time that the USPS started getting run like a real business & not some gov't clusterfuck of lazy asses waiting for their retirement date.
