Using casino chips at the sportsbook

I am going to Vegas this weekend and called Caesars about wiring some funds so I didn't have to carry too much cash with me. I spoke with a cashier who gave me the info and said I could just ask for markers against my wire while I was there. I told her I would use most of it in the sportsbook and she informed me that they don't give markers for the book. I asked if I could use casino chips in the book and she said she couldn't give me that information, that I would have to figure it out on my own. I'd swear I used casino chips at the Rio book a couple of years back, but am I mistaken? Can I not send the wire and then just request the cash when I get there (should have asked her that but forgot).

Also, I am wondering about the CTR requirements in the book. If I make a wager, say $7500 and it wins, does that mean the CTR will be filed since the payback will be nearly $16K? Or does the profit have to be over $10K? Does it make any difference if they pay me with chips instead of cash, or if I ask to let part of the return ride on another wager?

Don't know much about credit, but never had a problem using chips at the book.

Why not just hit the cage with about $2000 of your Marker after playing a few hands of blackjack. Then you can hit the sportsbook with cash rather than chips.

Having said that, I have never seen a sportsbook where you cannot bet with chips

I would make scores in casino and then would go to sportsbook and make a small wager and the clerk used to ask do you want chips or cash and i would hesitate a little and say i will take cash .

At Caesars's your marker limit is usually same as your check writing limit so just set up a credit account and you can write a check for cash or chips and use them in the book. Or worse case order a marker at the table, play a few hands and then take your chips to the book.

imo ur best bet is to make two seperate wagers to avoid the high payout issue....not sure if it will work..but cashing them in on seperate days would help.

if this isnt an option jus do two neighboring casinos...3000 at one 4500 at other.

Anything in CASH 10,000 will require a CTR

You can make wagers with chips(if book allows) and this will help you avoid this.

Make seperate wagers as was suggested, although some books will still require the CTR.......again do with chips if possible.

As far as markers, your best bet is to set up a CASH/MARKER CREDIT account in as many casinos as you can. I had about 6-7 casinos in Vegas where I could just go to the cage and get an INTEREST FREE LOAN for 30 days in the amount of 5,000-10,000 bucks. These take a few days to set-up in most cases.

I could provide a few more inside tips, but its not something I would like to give away on a public forum.

Here is a way to avoid going over the $10,000 mark.

Lets say that you want to bet a $5000 2 team parlay. It would pay $13,000 plus your stake back.

Instead of one parlay, just bet 2 or 3 parlays for for the same 2 teams. Then make sure and not cash them all at the same time
