Good choice for USC. You don't need a high profile guy to recruit to USC, you just need a good HC and a stable personality. USC recruits to USC, tradition, weather, song girls, etc.

Chip was the sexy pick, but they got the right guy.

One would think that USC had to be a little worried about a HC with baggage.....Maybe USC wanted to steer clear. Haden has been known to lie tho.

No way Jimbo would go to the west coast.

Not impressed with the hire....but not unimpressed either.

I'm guessing they want a good recruiting class and felt Helton was solid. He did do a good job holding it together after the early season firing.
