We will never know.

A playoff system would hurt my business but it is a thing that should exist.

Georgia would beat the poop out of USC

Well Hater, we'll never know...but we do know is that USC is the Rose Bowl Champ and under Pete Carroll has won the Pac 10 six times in a row , 5 & 1 in BCS Bowls, and 2 National Titles.

Awesome Program, they are the Patriots of CFB :dancefool

USC is the best team in football right now and Pac10 probably best conference. SEC fans have a very tough time saying any other conference is better. I'm an east-coaster who recognizes that Pac10 often does not get full respect. I think USC beats up on LSU, Georgia, FLA, Auburn, Mizzou, Okl,,,there, that should piss off a few %^_

USC might be the best team, but I dont think you will find much support for best conference. You have wins over ACC (1), Big East (1), and a big loss to Big 12 and MWC.

1 title in 6 years. Carroll is a good coach, they get tons of talent. I think plenty of other coaches could do with that talent what he has done though.

2 National Titles- 2003 split win LSU and 2004.

A lot of coaches probably could have done the same as Carroll and we can debate that.

The fact remains, if you are a talented California High School player USC is the place you want to go for obvious reason. That is why they recruit so well and that is why they are solid every year. Undebatable

Um, no. There's no such thing as a split national title post-BCS. The BCS was the system everyone agreed to. Nobody cares how the media voted afterward

Uh, yes, the BCS just presents the ESPN/USA Today Poll. Split titles are still possible.

Depends which side of the fence you sit I suppose. Still the most dominant team over those two years....asterisk title or not.

Even though USC did not play in the BCS title game they are still recognized as co-champion for 2003, unless you either attend LSU or an alumni.

georgia would have something to say here.

USC was given the AP title in 2003. As for USC and Georgia this year I don't see them being voted as co-champs.

Recognized by who. The national champion is the winner of the BCS title game. It's pretty cut and dry. That's why there is a BCS

No such thing as a split title. You win the BCS title, you are the champion. USC done that 1 time in the last 6 years. hell even that year there was controversy if I remember right a pretty wicked Auburn team got left out of the title game.

Get this through your thick head, USC has 2 titles in the last few years. The BCS is not the end all be all title for the sport. The AP can award the title to anyone they want & they will be recognized as champions. If the AP awarded Georgia or lets say Oklahoma the title, they would be national champions along with whomever the BCS crowns.

Knowing you, if something like that happened you would boast about it but since USC is involved, you downplay it. Typical bullshit from you

Actually USC has one title and the BCS is the end all be all title for the sport. That is why the BCS was put into place to determine a national champion played between the #1 and #2 teams in the country. Yes, the AP can award the title to whoever they want as can any other media source, church group, political party, etc.... That doesn't make a team a national champion.

USC was voted the Rx co-national champion this yr. Maybe they should print shirts and hats.

Guess what, no matter what you say or feel, USC is a co-national champion & there is nothing you can do about it. The NCAA recognizes USC as a co-champion as well. So lets see who has more authority, an obsessed idiot or the governing body, hmm.....? Tough one

Actually, the NCAA doesn't recognize a champion in football.
