Now what?

Alabama get the chance but Utah doesnt and Utah played a harder schedule this year.

If I was a BCS school I would never schedule a tough non conference game anymore, why would you? You dont need to nowadays, just run the table and your set. Dont think schools arent thinking this nowadays.

You will see less and less great non conference games before the conference seasons get's underway.

Correct.
Schedule Bumfuck U in the first week of September, beat them 61-0, then schedule say, a piss poor Washington in week 3, roll them, now you are all set.

I've been an advocate of an eight team playoff system for years now.

THE SEC sends that memo out to its members every year. They are only allowed to play teams in the Sunbelt conference and those that rank 100 or below. If it wasn't for tradition FLA would never play Fla St.

Didn't it take the Fla Congress to force that to happen again? I did notice the SEC ADs mistook the ACC for the Sunbelt which is understandable with how bad the ACC has been , but after last weekend!! THAT won't happen again.:missingte

"the Gators dropped Miami in 1988 because they wanted to play a "more national schedule." They promptly replaced the Hurricanes with Montana State." :think2:
