USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows

By a 2-to-1 ratio, Americans favor invading Iraq with U.S. ground troops to remove Saddam Hussein from power. Not since November 2001 have they approved so overwhelmingly. Nearly six in 10 say they're ready for such an invasion ''in the next week or two.''

Typical. There is little choice, so give in and do not stand up for what is right.

These same people would turn on Bush in a heartbeat if there was something in it for them.

it would be interesting to know the school degree / university degree the voters have. you always have to split up votes into different parts. you never now who voted. what if 50 % of the voters were kids having no clue of politics. such a vote can only be presented and showing the right numbers when people are asked face to face

I assure you that if every american went and voted on this attack, the majority would vote NO.

>stand up for what is right

General, you of all people should know there is no right or wrong... EVERYTHING is relative

SSI,

We have no reason to invade that country until they give us reason & i havent heard a good reason yet. The pres says they COULD attack us or they COULD supply weapons to terrorist that COULD be used against us. We COULD be wrong too.

When they do these things, then we have reason. Russia COULD too. I do not see us invading Russia.

"He should depart. He should go away from the presidency and let the Americans lead an ordinary life with other nations, not a life of aggression, a policy of aggression against other nations,"

"This policy has brought about disasters to the U.S. So for the U.S. to live properly with the world and for the world nations to live in peace, this crazy man should go."

andynbg, you would've been a "Jim Crow" good 'ol boy wanting to give literacy test to "qualify" to vote with that logic.

General did they live up to resolution 1441?... if no then when,,, and how do you make someone do something they are not willing to do,, if not by force.. if you were held up in a house and i wanted you out but you would not come,, i would have to come in and get you... that resolution was passed unanimously... how would you go about enforcing it?? that is the question here..

What's funny SSI, is that this comes from you, a very religious person advocating a slaughter of Iraqi innocents...sounds like something contradicts itself here...

Frank,
you have to analyse any vote and not only read the results. did you ever join a statistics course at the university? That is no offence. I mean in that courses you learn how to analyse statistics

andynbg, I can assure you that CNN was in pain to see these results... If anything, the questions were slanted to get an anti-war response.

If the results were anti-war CNN would be quoting them every 5 mins 24/7. As it is, CNN have buried the results.

Frank,
I am sorry to say that but when the first dead bodies of my american comerades are arriving in the US you will have different votes. Hopefully then everybody asks what for did they die

andynbg, do you think the people of the USA would 'vote' for a D-day type attack today?

rrfcr.. many were killed by God in the Old Testament, --- Many more may be killed by Christ himself at his 2nd coming... being a doormat is no where in the Bible,,, i do not advocate Peace at all costs.... I consider Sadaam a tyrant and murderer (kuwait, Kurds, Marsh dwellers),, he needs to be removed,, i ask: how do you do that without force..

If and when dead bodies arrive back in the US,,, the war will be supported by 90% of the people... do not underestimate the will of the people here... many have made this mistake in the past.. we will stick together and you can take that to the bank, thats the cowboys and the hippies, the rebels and the yanks...
