USA-Portugal had the biggest US TV audience ever for a soccer game, averaging 24.7 million viewers (18.2M ESPN, 6.5M Univision).

And for anyone that has Time Warner cable espn had audio but no picture. So we all had to watch it on univision on mute. That helps explain why that univision number is so high.

Time Warner apologizes for outage during World Cup match between U.S. and Portugal

Time Warner Cable customers in Lexington, Louisville and Covington weren't able to see part of the World Cup 2014 match between the United States and Portugal Sunday evening because of a "satellite receiver disruption," a company spokesman said Monday morning.
The disruption — a black screen with only audio on ESPN and ESPN HD — lasted for about 45 minutes, said Mike Hogan, a spokesman for Time Warner in Columbus, Ohio. Hogan couldn't give an immediate estimate of how many customers were affected.

My mistake guys. Apparently this was only in the Lexington, Louisville area. Still a major mistake by them. I expect at least some movie credits or something lol.
